Laura chose Heaton Woods as her first photo shoot location because she felt the outdoor, woodland setting would provide a different vibe for her indie music magazine compared to other genres that typically shoot in studios. This location allowed her to pose her model to look innocent against the natural lighting. For her second shoot, Laura used a home location so she could control the lighting and allow for easy outfit changes. She posed the model intentionally for shots she planned to use in the magazine. For her third location, Laura used a school to get more models and access those with busy schedules. The outdoor areas provided natural backgrounds fitting her magazine's style.
