seriously. The simplistic manner also conveys the

thirds, which immediately draws the viewers’

artists location which appears to be a simple
street/alley way. Overall, this photograph is strong in

1982. This photograph was taken outside the
Salford Lads Club, portraying the bands
Manchester roots. 3 out of the 4 band members
are show direct address to the camera,
connecting them to the viewer. The lads are
dressed in casual clothes which makes them more
relatable to the viewer. This photograph reflects
the era in which the band was formed and gives
off a gritty vibe.
Beyonce is a world-wide known American singer
who is widely known for her mass of talent and
popular singles. This image of her shows direct
address which connects the viewer to the artist.
The photograph also has a good line of symmetry,
as the artist is positioned directly in the centre.
Natural lighting has been used to compliment the
artists glowing skin, making her appeal
aesthetically pleasing to the viewer. This
photograph gives off a bright, uplifting vibe which
shows the artists fresh style and portrays her as a
aspirational figure.
This photograph of Rihanna shows the artist in a
central position against a simplistic white
background – this suggests the focus of the
picture is all on the artist. Rihanna is shown side
on, smoking a cigarette which gives off a ‘bad girl’
image, along with her tattoo on show and wild
hair style. This gives the photograph a sense of
rebellion which will intrigue the viewers. The
blank background helps to emphasis these
features.
