This planet has seen so many inventions and modern technologies that it is taking over, but none of it can do the work of the natural resources.Trees are one of the most important natural resources that give life to every living thing. We are so heavily dependent on this natural resource and in return, we are only destroying them by cutting them and harming the planet. The trees selflessly provide so many benefits to humans and humans selfishly repay this debt by cutting down trees. If this practice of deforestation continues and people don’t realize the need to give back to the planet by planting trees then there won’t be a planet to live on anymore. Trees protect the natural environment by balancing the pollution levels and purifying such harmful air that has been created due to manmade activities. It acts as a home and shelter to so many animals, helps in raising fertility of the soil naturally and we only cause harm to it. Let us all pledge to not continue this harmful activity and take the route of afforestation. Start by planting trees at home and in your neighborhood. Do it for the benefit of the environment and planet even if your efforts go unnoticed. Spread awareness about the importance of planting trees and start early. Save trees and save the planet.Thank you.Short Speech on Save Trees and Save Planet EarthThis form of Speech On Save Trees And Save Planet Earth In English is useful for students in grades 4-7, as they can speak about the topic in a short time using simple words for everyone to understand.Good morning everyone, I ABC (mention your name) feel very fortunate to get this opportunity on this prestigious platform to speak on an important topic: Save Trees And Save Planet Earth. Introduction to AI for Nonprofits with Tapp NetworkTechSoup
Dive into the world of AI! Experts Jon Hill and Tareq Monaur will guide you through AI's role in enhancing nonprofit websites and basic marketing strategies, making it easy to understand and apply.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

DEFINITION
- the study of the fundamental nature of
knowledge, reality, values, mind, language and
existence, especially when considered as an
academic discipline.
“Philo”
“Sophos
”
LOVE WISDOM
“Love of Wisdom”
17. EDUCATIONAL
PHILOSOPHY
• a teacher's personal statement detailing her guiding principles
about such education-related issues as how students learn best, as
well as the role of educators in the classroom, school, community,
and society
• refers to a teacher's vision of the grander purpose of education
and its role in society.
18. SOME BASIC
QUESTIONS:
1. What do you believe is the grander purpose of education in a
society and community?
2. What, specifically, is the role of the teacher in the classroom?
3. How do you believe students learn best?
4. In general, what are your goals for your students?
5. What qualities do you believe an effective teacher should have?
19. SOME BASIC
QUESTIONS:
6. Do you believe that all students can learn?
7. What do teachers owe their students?
8. What is your overall goal as a teacher?
9. How do you create an inclusive learning environment?
10. How do you incorporate new techniques, activities, and types of
learning into your teaching?
22. REAS OF PHILOSOPHY
Philosophy is a complex field that has many different areas of
thought. There are three major areas of philosophy of
education. Each branch focuses on a different aspect and is
central to your teaching. The three branches of
philosophy are:
• Metaphysics or ontology: what is the
nature of reality?
• Epistemology: what is the nature of
knowledge? How do we come to know?
• Axiology: what values should one live by?
23. AREAS OF PHILOSOPHY
METAPHYSICS EPISTEMOLOGY AXIOLOGY
reality
existence
knowledge
- Deductive
- Inductive
Values
- Ethics
- Aesthetics
24. METAPHYSICS
ASK YOURSELVES:
1.Where do people begin?
2.Where does the universe begin?
3.Is there really life after death?
4.Is there heaven and hell?
5.Is there really a thing called
resurrection?
6.Who/ What are we in the past life?
25. METAPHYSICS
“ What is the NATURE OF
REALITY?”
-the branch of philosophy responsible for the study of
existence.
- encompasses everything that exists, as well as the nature of
existence itself
- It says whether the world is real, or merely an illusion
26. METAPHYSICS
Sub- divided into two Categories:
1. ONTOLOGY: Nature of Existence
2. COSMOLOGY: Origin and Existence of
Universe
27. METAPHYSICS
IMPORTANCE OF METAPHYSICS:
1. Without an explanation or an interpretation
of the world around us, we would be
helpless to deal with reality.
2. Without this firm foundation, all knowledge
becomes suspect.
29. EPISTEMOLOGY
TRY THESE QUESTIONS:
1. It occurs once in a minute, twice in a
moment, but never in an hour.
2. Is it correct to say "the yolk of eggs is white"
or "the yolk of eggs are white"?
3. Is it legal for a man to marry his widow's
sister?
30. EPISTEMOLOGY
“What is the nature of knowledge?”
“How do we come to know?”
- investigation into the grounds and nature of
knowledge itself
- focuses on:
• our means for acquiring knowledge
• and how we can differentiate between truth and
falsehood.
31. EPISTEMOLOGY
LOGIC is a key dimension:
1. Deductive Logic: from general to specific
2. Inductive Logic: from specific to generalization
32. EPISTEMOLOGY
LOGIC is a key dimension:
1. Deductive Logic: from general to specific
2. Inductive Logic: from specific to generalization
33. EPISTEMOLOGY
IMPORTANCE:
1. It is fundamental to how we think
2.Without some means of understanding
– how we acquire knowledge
– how we rely upon our senses,
– and how we develop concepts in our
minds
40. AXIOLOGY
“What values should one live by?”
- is the philosophical study of value
- Explore the nature of values and beauty
41. AXIOLOGY
1. ETHICS: study of human conduct and examine
moral values
2. AESTHETICS: values beauty, nature, and
aesthetic experience (often associated with
music, art, literature, dance, theater, and other
other fine arts”
42. AXIOLOGY
IMPORTANCE:
1. Values in education is significant and is
important
2. Value is an important determiner of success
3. If a teacher is not cognizant of the values he is
promoting, he can encourage the wrong
values and consequently harm the
development of the youngsters
43. AXIOLOGY
SUMMARY:
1. “What values should one live by?”
• Is morality defined by our actions, or by what
is in our hearts?
• What values should be taught in character
education?
44. AXIOLOGY
SUMMARY:
