A phase relation involves assembling two or more subjects or ideas to express a relationship between them. Each component of the assembly is called a phase. A subject can be one-phased, consisting of a single concept, or two-phased, relating two concepts. The different types of phase relations are general, bias, comparison, difference, and influencing. An intra-facet relation involves expressing the relationship between two concepts within the same facet of a class. An intra-array relation expresses the relationship between two concepts within the same array.
