Dr. Adrian Holzer is a professor who focuses on mobile apps, HCI, social media, and technology enhanced learning. He has developed several courses and projects at EPFL including a communication course for first year engineers, a social media course for master's students from engineering and art schools, and SpeakUp which uses co-located social media to improve classroom interaction. Other projects include Graasp for personal learning environments and involvement in the Go-Lab project for inquiry-based online labs. His work has also included developing knowledge management systems for Doctors Without Borders and experimental social media like Chachachat and DinerRouge which use technology to explore social issues.
