The Big Five Inventory (BFI) is a 44-item inventory that measures an individual on the Big Five factors of personality: Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness. Each factor is comprised of several facets, for example Extraversion includes facets like sociability, assertiveness, and positive emotions. Respondents indicate how much statements like "is talkative" and "is full of energy" apply to them. Scores on the BFI provide a multidimensional assessment of an individual's personality based on the dominant five-factor model.

Attitudes help guide behavior, although sometimes people act in ways that contradict their attitudes (Baumeister & Bushman, 2014). Some have said that attitudes are directly related to behavior; others say there is no strong relationship between attitude and behavior. Examining theories of how people develop attitudes and perceptions can lead to heightened self-awareness.
CONTEXT
The self is a complex and marvelous participant in the social world. There are three main components of the self: self-knowledge, interpersonal self, and agent self. The self is a vital means of gaining social acceptance and for participation in culture. But is there such a thing as a "true self"?

The journal represent psychology by studying changes in the mind and psychology through exploration of health worsening and quality of life. Gender nonconformity refers to a scenario where individuals exhibit characteristics that are common with the opposite gender. Gender nonconforming persons complain of discrimination from both sides of gender. The study identified everyday stressors facing gender non-conforming persons, which were compared to health-related quality of life (HRQRL) while focusing on young people as respondents.
Research findings revealed that gender nonconformity was directly related to several social problems such as discernment that may lead to the development of mental illnesses. Respondents identified; depression, discomfort, unusual activity, and mobility obstinacy as common problems they go through. The study recommended an aggregated initiative from all social quarters to put up efforts focused awareness on gender nonconformity. In relation to the research question, gender non-conformity on of the reasons why young people are discriminated. To deal with stigma and discernment, aggregated efforts are required to promote awareness and change a social behavior.

The article studies human behaviors, human culture and functioning of the mind, touching on three disciplines; anthropology, psychology and sociology. People with a mental health condition suffer from discrimination from the public a vice that bumps their road to recovery. Upon recovery, the society offer a cold shoulder hampering their repatriate to social status. The study inspected the psychometrics of several assessments of supposed transformation from an individual through mental illness. A comparison of mental illness and other ailments was done and basis of supposed dissimilarity scale were likened.
The results revealed a positive relationship between differential scores and stereotypes and a negative correlation with affirming attitudes. In conclusion, the study showed an efficient ration of stigma change where individuals have gone through mental illness as their perception shift following their experience. To begin with, I have set my eyes on becoming a social worker. Further, through my involvement in the realm of social work, I hope to help as many individuals as I can. For a long a time, I have exhibited immense passion and the need to come to the assistance of individuals who are grappling with a vast array of unsavory circumstances. My passion is as a result of my experiences of the suffering of many people whom I have interacted with throughout my life. Notably, the majority of these people had to contend with abuse and neglect for a long time. Moreover, my need is as a result of my comprehension of the fact that transforming the globe commences with the assistance of a just a single individual and having the ability to empathize with individuals. Having witnessed so much suffering throughout my life, I feel that it is right for me to do whatever I can to bring smiles to faces of individuals who have faced diverse challenging situations in their life. In this way, I believe that I will be able to bring much-needed positive contributions to my preferred profession.
Further, I bring various positive and unique qualities to social work, the most prominent of which include empathy, active listening, and persuasion. Firstly, empathy relates to the capability of an individual to identify with the situation in which another individual is. Undoubtedly, empathy is immensely critical in the realm of social work owing to the fact that it aids those partaking in the field to not only comprehend but also assist others in ascertaining solutions to their problems. Apart from this, active listening is equally critical in social work because it helps in establishing trust, opening doors, and coming to the discovery of important details regarding the people seeking the assistance of social workers. In this way, their unique circumstances can be understood. Additionally, the value of persuasion cannot be stressed enough, as it aids in influencing, coaxing, or inviting individuals to take action, for instance, when it comes to the transformation of client behavior.
With respect to how I see my role in the profession evolving through time, I hope that I will start working as a child welfare social worker in a hospital. I intend to offer services to children who are grappling with abuse and neglect owing to the actions of their parents. On top of this, I intend to assist children coming from families that do not earn enough income. In addition, I hope that I will become a hospital manager of child welfare five years after starting my practice of social work. Following the attainment of two to three yearsâ experience as child welfare social worker, on top of undergoing additional management training, I hope that I will be able to land the position. In addition, I intend to start a non-profit communit.

Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
⢠The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.

Psychological researchers typically distinguish five major domains of individual differences
in human behavior: cognitive abilities, personality, social attitudes, psychological interests,
and psychopathology (Lubinski, 2000). In this article we: discuss a number of methodological
errors commonly found in research on human individual differences; introduce a broad
framework for interpreting findings from contemporary behavioral genetic studies; briefly
outline the basic quantitative methods used in human behavioral genetic research; review
the major criticisms of behavior genetic designs, with particular emphasis on the twin and
adoption methods; describe the major or dominant theoretical scheme in each domain; and
review behavioral genetic findings in all five domains. We conclude that there is now strong
evidence that virtually all individual psychological differences, when reliably measured, are
moderately to substantially heritable.
Tkach, C., & Lyubomirsky, S. (2006). How do people pursue happiness?: Relating personality,
happiness-increasing strategies, and well-being. Journal of Happiness Studies, 7, 183-225.
Five hundred ethnically diverse undergraduates reported their happiness strategies â that
is, activities undertaken to maintain or increase happiness. Factor analysis extracted eight
general strategies: Affiliation, Partying, Mental Control, Goal Pursuit, Passive Leisure,
Active Leisure, Religion, and Direct Attempts at happiness. According to multiple regression
analyses, these strategies accounted for 52% of the variance in self-reported happiness and
16% over and above the variance accounted for by the Big Five personality traits. The
strongest unique predictors of current happiness were Mental Control (inversely related),
Direct Attempts, Affiliation, Religion, Partying, and Active Leisure. Gender differences
suggest that men prefer to engage in Active Leisure and Mental Control, whereas women
favor Affiliation, Goal Pursuit, Passive Leisure, and Religion. Relative to Asian and
Chicano(a) students, White students preferred using high arousal strategies. Finally,
mediation analyses revealed that many associations between individualsâ personality and
happiness levels are to some extent mediated by the strategies they use to increase their
happiness â particularly, by Affiliation, Mental Control, and Direct Attempts.

Although theorists have proposed the existence of multiple distinct varieties of positive
emotion, dispositional positive affect is typically treated as a unidimensional variable in
personality research. We present data elaborating conceptual and empirical differences
among seven positive emotion dispositions in their relationships with two core personality
constructs, the ââBig Fiveââ and adult attachment style. We found that the positive emotion
