The change management is a fundamental part of an organization.
Behaviors and attitudes of people, who are connected with the organization, are affected when decisions and actions are taken for any change in the organization.
The changes can be threatening for the people linked with the organization, while the change can be positive for the organization.

One of the most interesting concepts and ideas about behaviors in organizations that I personally could relate to as a student is motivation. In my opinion, motivation is one of the main reasons I’m able to keep going when studying. Organizational Behavior explores this topic and looks at it in different perspectives where it makes it easier to comprehend and implement. Parijat & Bagga (2014) have mentioned in their motivation theory research article that motivation in private or public enterprises is mandatory. It was also mentioned that “Humans are basically psychological beings and need inspiration whether extrinsic or intrinsic for achieving organizational as well their personal objectives and goals.” (Parijat & Bagga, 2014, p.1). If you compare two pieces of work, one done by a motivated person and the other done by a non-motivated person, you could easily notice the differences between them, the motivated one being more put-together and presentable, the other looking less interesting and rushed.

Cultural Immersion Proposal
The society we live in is composed of people from different cultures and with different values and systems. Cultural immersion is considered as the act of surrounding oneself with the culture of a different group. Culture is the totality of socially transmitted behavior patterns, beliefs, arts, institutions and thought characteristics of a population or community (Hamdan, 2017). It is a set of shared beliefs, values, attitudes, and behavioral patterns of an organization or a group (Hammoud, White, & Fetters, 2005). In this project, I have chosen to focus on Islamic culture by visiting and interacting with them in the mosques located in my community, New York City. Like many other religions, Islam claims to be universally accommodating within its cultural folds. Islam is one of the religions that have a broad parameter of rules and regulations and one with unique culture and traditions.
There has always been is a difference in opinion on whether Islam has its own distinct culture. But the social norms that are derived from Muslims are often reflected in the everyday lives of its followers and the society. New York City is one of the regions that have a very high population of Muslims in the US. The Muslim community has come under a lot of criticisms from non-Muslims particularly as a result of their connection with terrorism and terrorist groups, mostly in the wake of President Trump’s administration where many of them have been disenfranchised. Most non-Muslims however do not know much about their culture. In this project I will visit Muslim gatherings in New York City to interact with them and observe their culture, beliefs, and behavioral patterns. I will contact a leader or any member of the Muslim community in the gatherings for an interview on how to effectively interact with the group or get a cultural guide to help access the group in a better way. I will engage with the individuals within the gathering setting in five different occasions.
During the interview with the leader or member of the group, I will put focus on the culture of the Muslim community including some of their renowned beliefs, values, attitudes, and behaviors. Everyone knows that Muslims is one of the most strict religions across the globe. Well, I would wish to determine whether that is true and learn more about them. During my interaction with the Muslims in their gathering places like Mosques, I will outline my reactions to my experience with them particularly on how they conduct themselves and their cultural activities, why they gather together, and what the gatherings means to them.

After taking the Myers-Briggs test, I was given the ENFJ response. According to our text book that is categorized as someone who is welcoming and understanding of others, they like to see the best in people, are sensitive, but are good at bringing people together. This category can be at a disadvantage when it comes to working with people at their job. This person would constantly weigh the effects their actions would have on other people. They would consider those people's reactions, thoughts, and emotions before doing anything. This can cause the person to second guess themselves. The test results stated that such a person can have wavering self-esteem, this is where that comes into play.
I feel this is true for me, but more so in my personal life. I am more fact based and led when it comes to my work, but driven by the responses of others in my personal life. I have no problem saying what I think, but I often worry about people's thoughts after I do.
This personality type is excellent for bringing people together. In an environment where tension or differences are high, this individual can help bring them together. I have been told this has been something I have done. When I first started at my current job, not everyone got along. People stayed in their own groups, and those groups did not mingle. There was often tension among the different groups. I became friends with all of the people from the different groups. I found out later from a co-worker that this helped to bridge everyone together. Sure, there are still disagreements. However, we are at a place now where those disagreements can be resolved over time.
My boss also stated that I have used this skill on multiple occasions to rally every employee to cooperate and work together; a task she said is not easily done with our group.
I think with this personality type, you learn better in many ways. For me personally: I learn better with a mixture of all methods. it really depends on what the task is though. Overall, I am better being able to see it myself either demonstrated, or by reading it.
A person with a negative effect would be willing to point out the issues or hurdles with a plan. For example: we have a co-worker who can be challenging due to the more negative approach she has. However, she is usually able to spot any issues and is not afraid to point them out. Even though she can rub people the wrong way sometimes, she helps to bring about a sense of protection to the group. Often we might find issues, but are too afraid to say anything. We know that our needs will be heard and defended if she is in our group.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

PERSONALREFLECTION PAPER
‘’LEARNING PROCESS STARTS FROM BIRTH; ENDS TILL DEATH’’.
Primarily, I would akin to speak about my role in life at different stages of life like an order
booker in Mayfair, sales officer in Uniliver and direct supervisor officer in mobilink. After this, I
will mention how organizational behavior’s concepts played a vital role in my life. I was dealing
the customers and sub ordinates in dynamic environment but having no proper knowledge for a
right way. I often got tips for motivating employees and customers by my seniors. Mostly I used
rough language for my juniors in aggressive mode. I have no knowledge how to treat different
people by different styles. Usually I copied the ways, words, body language of my competitors,
peers, and seniors for my job. I considered that all the sectors of Pakistan have same culture but a
little change in language geographically. During my job I misbehaved with my senior and this
conflict spread all over the organization. I have no idea about the policies, rules and regulations
of organizations. Luckily, my all seniors teach me how to behave and give the arguments at any
point of difference. I did not know about, modes and emotions, personality, motivational
theories, personality and organizational behavior. At a stage I understood that the personality is
the other name of dressing and enough. With the passage of time I survived for I instead survive
for organization. My top priority was to achieve the targets and made more incentives for my
pocket. On this way I got a practical experience in different multi and domestic organizations for
3.5 years.
‘’A TEACHER IS NOT A KING BUT A KING MAKER’’.
Later than I left all the jobs and got admission in MBA. During my MBA I learned about the
subject organizational behavior. My teacher of this subject cleared all the concepts in my mind
and I totally changed my behavior towards the organizations and their culture. From the
organizational behavior point of view, I knew that things like these are inevitable in decision-
making and a lot of this was focused on constructive criticism and as a functional conflict. In
fact, this led my knowledge to follow a path that believed in perfection and consideration of
every valuable input. Another interesting concept that I came across was that, I personally
witnessed myself competing and avoiding to be less cooperative at times and was immediately
pulled back to see this. However, I also believe that I brought a culture into the group, which
fulfilled the role of a negotiator in order to avoid conflict and save time on decision making. This
was to me a breakthrough in my learning experience only because I did not know I had them
(skills). I understood the fact that many tradeoffs are made in jobs, and a mediator was always in
favor of the job. My intuition that my job had an integrative characteristic to its negotiation
policies proved right. A lot of this was to make each other happy at the moment and also the fact
that we were peers hoping to maintain long term relationship was also a reason. However, it was
not possible for me to create a win situation all the time. I believe that my reasoning and
persuasion skills helped to some extent to avoid conflict. This was also a perfect opportunity for
me to put a number of other alternatives on the table for discussion and thus exploring my

creative side. I cleared the concept of personality that there are 3 main components of it. One is
environment, 2nd is heredity and last one physical appearance that includes in dressings. I
admired my teacher that told me that what were the goals of organizations and how had they
managed the diverse cultural employees. She also flourished the knowledge on motivational
theories applied by different organizations to accomplish the organizational goals. My teacher
helped me to ensure the implementation of strategies by the organizations, the intrinsic and
extrinsic motivational factors for different people and employees.
Overall, I must say that looking back at our achievements, I think it was worth the time and
effort and was not bad at all.
In future, when I will get a job defeating my competitors by my knowledge and get a name in the
organization. My 1st step to get knowledge about organizational behavior is going to complete
now. I will the manager on top level and organization depend me as a pillar of management.
