Council will randomly check of student’s work, question papers & answer sheets along with
student attendance record

Proof/evidence that assignments are properly graded
Evidence of exposure to Complex Engineering Problems (CEPs) & activities, Problem based
learning, design projects & open ended labs
Availability of training aids for imparting quality education
Record of Student internship & employer feedback
Evidence for continuous quality improvement (CQI) of the program & implementation plan
Record of minutes of meetings; policy documents, faculty profile; syllabi; research publications;
project reports, Industrial Advisory Board/Committee and other such documents required as
evidence
Record of Final Year Projects & sample reports

Validity of PEC Registration for all Engineering Faculty/Staff
Details pertaining to faculty members to verify their requisite qualifications, publications, R&D
projects & research funding
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) & other training for faculty/staff
Proof/Evidence of faculty workload
Details of laboratories with equipment, it’s supporting staff & lab manuals
Evidence for provision of general environment, health & safety (EHS)
Approved budget copy (previous and current years) for the university & concerned engineering
programs to be evaluated including current endowment fund status
CHECKLIST…..
Details of self-generated financial resources through consulting, fields/lab testing etc. & their
distribution if any
Details of conference, seminars, CPD courses & colloquia held by the department/institution
Controller of Exams, Treasurer/Finance Manager, Registrar, concerned faculty members, alumni,
employers & students should be available to the visitation tam along with relevant records
Actions taken by the university/institution on deficiencies/weaknesses & concerns pointed out in
last visit report (if applicable)
Any other additional document(s) required in support of the program
Schedule of Program Evaluation Team
Following is a typical schedule of the visiting team:
Day 0 :
The Convener holds a pre-visit meeting with the program evaluation team members
The meeting is mainly focused on the points of concern noted by the team members and
exchange of views on the information provided in SAR
The team uses a program evaluation worksheet throughout to assist in the evaluation and
discussion
Day 1: Typical activitiesinclude:
Opening meeting with senior administration of the institution
Presentation by the Head of the Department of program being evaluated and ensuing discussion
Schedule of ProgramEvaluation Team
Assessment and analysis of documents displayed in the exhibit room
Visit of program laboratories and allied facilities
Interaction with students
Visit to supporting and interdisciplinary departments and discussion with supporting staff
Visit to allied facilities such as library, computing, internet, medical, sports, hostels etc.
Meeting with the faculty members
Second review meeting of team members regarding assessment of the program
The evaluation team may request for any additional information / data or facts for clarifications
to resolve issues or queries
Schedule of ProgramEvaluation Team
Day 2: Typical activities include:
Review of any additional information/data or facts, requested by the visiting team, for clarifications to
resolve issues or queries
Discussion with Alumni, Employers and other stakeholders
Third review meeting of team members on overall assessment of the program
Sharing observations (strong and weak areas of the program) with the higher management of HEI
Final meeting (post-visit) of the team members for compilation of draft visit report
Submission of final visit report to EAD for EAB, OR it may be extended to third day if required by the
Convener
Day 3: Continuation of the final meeting to complete and finalize the visit report, and handing it over to
EAD official/representative for EAB and departure.

Schedule of ProgramEvaluation Team Day 2: Typical activities include: Review of any additional information/data or facts, requested by the visiting team, for clarifications to resolve issues or queries Discussion with Alumni, Employers and other stakeholders Third review meeting of team members on overall assessment of the program Sharing observations (strong and weak areas of the program) with the higher management of HEI Final meeting (post-visit) of the team members for compilation of draft visit report Submission of final visit report to EAD for EAB, OR it may be extended to third day if required by the Convener Day 3: Continuation of the final meeting to complete and finalize the visit report, and handing it over to EAD official/representative for EAB and departure.
