This lesson plan aims to teach 14-year-old elementary level students about gender stereotypes and roles. The lesson will be taught over two 60-minute classes using a CLIL approach. In the first lesson, students will watch videos about strong female athletes to identify gender stereotypes and exercise critical thinking. They will then work in groups to discuss gender roles and write paragraphs comparing their initial ideas to the ideas presented in the videos. The second lesson will have students create song lyrics about men's roles in society and record a commercial presenting their lyrics. Differentiation strategies are included for potential special needs students.
