This document discusses using UART communication between a PC and a wireless sensor board. It provides an overview of the hardware and software components used, including the BoardAPI, HardwareAPI, and stack. A sample code example is presented to illustrate how to initialize and use the on-chip UART to communicate ASCII codes between the PC's serial port and the wireless sensor board. Pseudocode and a flowchart are included to outline the main steps. Requirements and bonuses are proposed, such as controlling LEDs on the sensor board based on keyboard input and sending button press feedback over UART. Configuration details for the PC's HyperTerminal serial port are listed in an appendix.
