St. Joan of Arc wanted to be a soldier. She dressed
as a man (because women couldn’t fight at the time)      Ireland
to help lead the French army to victories during the
100 Years War.



St. Joseph, Jesus’ father, was a carpenter during his

St. Patrick lived in a land known for the color green,
clover, and leprechauns.

Jesus told St. Peter that he would be the rock where
Jesus would build his Church. This is why St. Peter
is also called Pope Peter I.



St. Francis of Assisi made the first manger/nativity
set for Christmas celebrations. It had real people       Animals
and he filled the stable with real cows, donkeys, and
livestock.



St. Vincent de Paul loved to help poor people.
Today, those who don’t have the things they need
receive help from an organization called the St.         Popes
Vincent de Paul Society.



St. Monica was a devout Catholic who prayed very
hard for her son when he lived a bad life. Eventually
her son became a Catholic and a saint too!! Her son      France
is named St. Augustine.
