Physical test shows Loss on Drying at 105°C is 0.01 , Saponification value is 187.95 , Iodine value is 111.67 , Acid value is 2.02 , Peroxide value is 5.15 , Ester value is 185.93, Refractive index at 30°C is 1.451, Specific gravity is 0.9435, Weight gm per ml is 0.9373 gm ml, Viscosity at 30°C is 94.6031 cP, Rancidity test Kreis test is Negative, Total aerobic counts is Nil, Total fungal count is Nil. FTIR analysis states soota taila contains d lactone, Conjugated anhydride, Tertiary alcohol, Sulfone, Fluro compound, Sulfonamide, Sulfonic acid anhydrous hydride, Ester, Sulfate, Sulfonyl chloride, Fluoro compound, Phenol, 1, 4 disubstituted or 1,2,3,4 tetrasubstituted and 1, 3 disubstituted, Halo compound. This shows the presence of organic compounds in the drugs. HPTLC Shows presence of various functional groups such as HPTLC technique major phytochemical present in the drug or formulation can be estimated. Considering all analytical parameters through the study conducted, one can conclude that Soota Taila may benefit in managing conditions like Kampavata Parkinson’s disease , Bahukampa, Shirakampa head tremor , Janghakampa, Ekangavata hemiplegia and all the various types of vata vyadhi’s as mentioned in the classics. Living healthy is the prime motto of this era but increased use of antibiotics and immuno- suppressive drugs, sedentary life, the quality of life get affected. Many kalpas have been described in Rasashastra for the conservation of immunity, physical and pshycological state of the body. In the field Rasayana, Gandhaka holds top after Parada. It possess ‘Katu’ rasa, ‘Ushna’ virya and Pachaka karma. Sudha Gandhaka when consume for many days with suitable adjuvant will provide good eye sight and improves jataragni. It is a good Rasyana also. Acharya Charaka has described Rasayana as a means to promote vigor and health which is mainly virilific and promotive of vitality. In the eighth chapter of Rasatarangini mentions 10 Gandhaka Kalpas. By judicious use of these kalpas, the person attains divyadrishti (sharp eye sight), suvarna kaya (golden radiance in the body), virya (high virility) and shaurya (physical strength) even in aged persons, vajra kaya (sturdy body), cures vali and palita roga (hair fall and hair greying), and also cures many of the chronic Kaphaja, Vataja and Pittaja rogas.

• Patola Katurohinyadi Kashayam is a madhyam shodhana
formulation stated in Ashtanga Hridayam Shodhanadi

assimilation.
• The bhedana property of drug is especially correlated with
choleretics.
• The drug which has cholesterics property will stimulate the
secretion of bile and the excessive bile cause Virechana. In short

antioxidant property.
• Similarly, it can be explained for kushtha chikitsa as well.

In the present case, the treatment protocol was adopted as per
Ayurvedic Samprapti and the treatment response was observed
much earlier as compared to previous allopathic treatment. No
recurrence was reported after the end of active treatment. The
importance of a wholesome diet as a health promoter is also
revalidated. The external and internal medications of Ayurveda
help to correct the complex patho-physiology of psoriasis like
chronic diseases. Altogether, multimodal Ayurveda treatment led
to speedy and substantial recovery from chronic cases of psoriasis

From the above study, an inference can thus be drawn that Patola
Katurohinyadi Kashayam is a very potent polyherbal formulation
that effectively reduces the symptoms of Panduta, Agnimandya,
Aruchi, Hrillas, Trishna, Daha and Bhrama observed in patients
suffering from ALD. It is also effective in restoration of normal
liver functions as it reduces elevated SGPT and SGOT. Thus it
can be advised as a drug of choice in clinical practice

• Authentic drug should be used in the preparation to get the required
therapeutic property.
• Patola katurohinyadi kashayam having maximum action on Skin and
Liver.
• In Patolkaturohinyadi kashaya , all drugs are tikta and katu rasa
pradhan dravya. Therefore Patolkaturohinyadi kashaya have kapha-
pittahara and tridoshahara property.
• Almost all the ingredients of this Kashaya like Patola, Kutki,
Raktachandan, Murva, Guduchi and Patha are Raktaprasadaka,
Pittaghna, Kamalanashaka, Pandunashaka and Vishaghna.
