US8984113 (Internet of things service architecture and method for realizing internet of things service; ZTE)
The present invention discloses the architecture of an internet of things (IOT). The architecture includes multiple
levels of IOT service platforms, wherein a superordinate IOT service platform is configured to manage one or more
of the following function entities: IOT terminal, IOT terminal gateway, subordinate IOT service platform, special
service platform and service gateway. The present invention also discloses a method for implementing an IOT
service. The method includes the steps of: the superordinate IOT service platform providing management for one
or more of subordinate IOT service platform, special service platform and service gateway, wherein the
management includes one or more of: registration, login, logout, data synchronization and heartbeat. With the
present invention, the deployed industries or special service platforms can be integrated into a unified architecture,
thus lightening the burden of the IOT service platforms.

In a Machine-to-Machine (M2M) network, efficient subscription of a M2M network application to a potentially
very large number of device applications executing on remote devices is facilitated by the use of a shared “link-
subscription identifier.” Each related device application (e.g., utility meter reading applications) includes a shared
link-subscription identifier in its registration to a M2M network gateway or a M2M services capability (SC). The
gateways maintain a binding between link-subscription identifiers in the device applications associated with them.
To subscribe to all related device applications, a network application includes the link-description identifier in a
subscription request to the M2M SC. The M2M SC, in turn, includes the link-subscription identifier in subscription
requests it forwards to gateways and directly-connected remote devices. If the link-subscription identifier is one
that is maintained locally by a gateway, the gateway forwards the subscription request to all remote devices
executing associated device applications.

Embodiments of the present invention include systems and methods for a computer-implemented, in-vehicle
application platform (VAP) for conducting vehicle-to-business (V2B) communication. A V2B vehicle application
layer resides within the vehicle. The VAP comprises a communication layer facilitating reliable message exchange
between this vehicle application layer and V2B business applications. The VAP further comprises a HW
abstraction layer encapsulating vehicle-specific interfaces both with regard to the CAN bus and the in-vehicle
HMI. According to certain embodiments, these layers of the VAP provide their functionality via open, non-
proprietary, and well-defined interfaces, allowing for efficient development of V2B applications and enhancing
portability of the latter.

The disclosure relates to discovering and offering cloud-based services for Internet of Things (IoT) devices in an
IoT network. In particular, an IoT gateway or other suitable device can discover information (e.g., device classes)
about the IoT devices in the IoT network, discover cloud-based services tagged with the discovered information
about the IoT devices, and offer the discovered cloud-based services in the IoT network. Accordingly, in response
to receiving a request to invoke a discovered cloud-based service from an IoT device and/or a user associated with
the IoT network, the IoT gateway may connect to the appropriate IoT devices to fetch any required data associated
with the requested cloud-based services, pass the fetched data to publishers or providers associated with the
requested cloud-based services, and return a result from the invoked cloud-based services to the IoT devices in the
IoT network.

US20150113627 (METHOD FOR ASSIGNING AN AGENT DEVICE FROM A FIRST DEVICE
REGISTRY TO A SECOND DEVICE REGISTRY; ARM)
An agent device is registered in a first device registry maintained by a first registry apparatus for authenticating
agent devices for communicating with application providing apparatuses. The agent device can be assigned to a
second device registry maintained by second registry apparatus. The method of assignment comprises the first
registry apparatus receiving from a requestor device a device assignment request. In response to the device
assignment request, the first registry apparatus checks whether the agent device is allowed to be assigned to the
second device registry, and if so, the agent device transmits second authentication information for authenticating
the identity of the agent device to the second registry apparatus which registers this in the second device registry.
