Past Conditionals
 Conditional tenses are used to speculate
about what could happen, what might happen,
what we wish would happen.
 The sentences using the conditional contain
the word ‘if’.
 Past conditionals also include, besides the
word ‘if’, the simple past verb tense in the if-
clause.

 Past conditionals are used to describe an
hypothetical condition (but a real-life situation)
and its probable result.
