This document discusses partnerships for local studies services and their future sustainability. It addresses three key areas: partnerships, politics/priorities, and promotion. Partnerships across different cultural institutions and with community groups are important for sharing resources, increasing revenue, and better serving audiences. Local studies services must also align with the local strategic partnership's priorities in areas like children/young people, safety, health, and elderly services. Effective promotion of case studies is needed to demonstrate the value of local studies and history to the community.
