This document discusses knowledge mobilization (KMb) and the work of York University's KMb unit from 2006 to 2011. It defines KMb as supporting collaborations between researchers and communities to enable social innovation. The KMb unit brokered over 200 partnerships, raised $17.6 million in funding, and engaged 240 faculty and 142 graduate students. Examples are provided of KMb projects that informed policy changes and economic development around inclusivity, sustainability, and emergency response planning. The document promotes KMb tools and highlights the role research can play in addressing social issues.
