The objectives of the experiment was to resolve a crime, using DNA Profiling otherwise known as Forensic DNA Fingerprinting. DNA Profiling is a technique used by scientists to distinguish between individuals of the same species using only samples of their DNA. It is used to solve crime or medical problems. The DNA profile of each individual is highly specific. We did a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) to amplify specific segments of DNA and electrophoresis gel to see DNA fragments. We had the crime scene samples as a positive control and the samples of  suspects one to five. In the agarose gel electrophoresis we analyzed the different bands of DNA and compared them to the crime scene DNA. At the end, we concluded that the DNA from the crime scene was similar to the DNA of the third suspect. Therefore suspect number three was responsible for the crime. <br />
