Greenpeace originated in 1971 as a group of Canadian protesters opposed to nuclear testing. It has since grown into a global non-profit environmental organization focused on addressing climate change, protecting oceans and forests, and moving society beyond fossil fuels. Greenpeace relies on individual donations and uses direct action, lobbying, and research to achieve its goals of environmental and social justice.

The Oxford lexicon characterizes Environment as the environment or conditions in which a man, creature or plant lives or works . The earth has happened to extraordinary worry in the previous decade. Ecological topics, for example, change in atmosphere, loss of biodiversity, contamination, an Earth wide temperature boost, and maintainable improvement, etc, have possessed a noteworthy space in the media channels and the administration strategies. We have been contaminating our planet, draining its assets, and amassing a huge amount of non biodegradable waste. Now of time, although private enterprise and industrialization have made the most astounding material ways of life, yet the procedure has exhausted the nature of living as it has, in the meantime expanded the rate at which we dirty, drain, and make squander. As previous Vice President Al Gore deduced in his book Earth to be determined, Human development is currently the prevailing reason for change in the worldwide condition. The natural outcomes of worldwide environmental change have turned out to be increasingly evident and of more noteworthy open concern. Endeavours to spare the earth can be followed back to as ahead of schedule as the 1900s yet not until the beginning of 21st century. Individuals attempted endeavors to work overall and battle condition exhaustion. Whats more, for a similar reason, Environmentalism has advanced as a progressively concrete and required idea in the pop culture. Little yet noteworthy endeavors have been taken to spare our condition. The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.
"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

2. The environmental movement can simply be defined as
a social and political movement, mainly concerning
with the conservation of environment as well as
improving the state of environment. It can also be
said as green conservation movement
Greenpeace is an independent global compaigning
organization that act to change attitude and behavior, to
protect and conserve the environment and to promote
peace.
3. Greenpeace state its goal is to “ensure the
ability of the Earth to nature life in all its diversity and
focuses its campaigning on world wide issues such as
global warming, deforestation, over fishing,
commercial whaling and anti-nuclear issues.
Greenpeace uses direct action , lobbying and research
to achieve its goals. The global organization does not
accept funding from government, corporation political
parties , relying on more than 2.8 million individual
supporters and foundation grant. Greenpeace is a
funding member of the INGO accountability charter,
an international non governmental organization that
intends to forest accountability and transparency of
non governmental organizations.
4. Greenpeace evolved from the movement and
antinuclear protest in Vancouver , British
Columbia, in the early 1970s. On september
15 , 1971, the newly founded Don’t make a
wave committee sent a chartered ship, Phyllis
cormack, renamed greenpeace for the
protest, from Vancouver to oppose united
states testing of nuclear devices in Amchitka
Alaska . The don’t make a wave committee
subsequently adopted the name greenpeace.
5.
6. In a few years, Greenpeace spread to several
countries and started to campaign on other
environmental issues such as commercial whaling
and toxic waste . In the 1970s the different
regional greenpeace grouped formed greenpeace
international to overse the goals & operations of
the regional organizations globally. Greenpeace
receiver international attention during 1980 when
the France intelligence agency bombed the
Rainbow Warrior in Aucklands Waitmata Harbour
one of the most well known vessels operated by
Greenpeace killing one individual. The greenpeace
evolved into one of the largest environmental
organization in the world.
7. Greenpeace evolved from a group of Canadian
protesters into a less conservative group of
environmentalists who were more reflective of the
Counterculture and Hippie Youth movement of the
1960s and 1970s. The social and cultural background
from which greenpeace emerged heralded a period of
deconditioning away from old antecedents and sought
to develop new codes of social, environmental and
political behavior. Greenpeace developed in a more
evolutionary manner.
8. Greenpeace is an independed global compaigning
organization that act to change attitude and behavior,
to protect and conserve the environment and to
promote by:
1) Catalyzing an energy revolution to address the
number one threat facing our planet: Climate change.
2) Defending our oceans by challenging wasteful
and destructive fishing, and creating a global network
of marine reserves
3)Protecting the worlds remain ancient forest
which are depended on by many animals, plant and
people.
9. 4) Working for disarmament and peace by
reducing dependence on finite resource and calling
for the elimination of all nuclear Weapons
5) Creating a toxic free future and safe alternatives
to hazardous chemicals in today’s products and
manufacturing.
6) campaigning for sustainable agriculture by
encouraging socially and ecologically responsible
farming practices.
10. Greenpeace was one of the first parties to
formulate a sustainable development scenario for
climate change mitigation, which it did in 1993.
According to sociologist, greenpeace played a
significant role in the raising public awareness of global
warming in the 1990s.
The organization has also focused on CFc’s,
because of both their global warming potential and their
effect on the ozone layer. Currently greenpeace
considers global warming to be the greatest
environmental problem facing the earth. Greenpeace
called for global greenhouse gas emissions to peak in
2015 and to decrease as a close to Zero as possible by
2050.
11. Greenpeace have lunched the “Go beyond oil”
campaign. The campaign is focused on slowing, and
eventually ending the world consumption of oil, with
activist 'activities taking place against companies that
pursue oil drilling as a venture . Much of the activities
of the “Go Beyond oil” campaign have been focused
on drilling for oil in the Arctic and areas affected by the
Deep water horizon disaster.
12. Greenpeace views nuclear power as a relatively minor
industry with major problems, such as environmental
damage and risk from uranium mining , nuclear weapons
proliferation, and unresolved questions concerting
nuclear waste . The organization argues that the
potential of nuclear power to mitigate global warning is
marginal. By 2050 would cut global green house gas
emission less than 5% and requires 32 nuclear unit of
1000MW capacity build per year until 2050
13. Greenpeace forest campaign is committed to
protecting the worlds remaining ancient forests and
the plants, animals & peoples that depends upon
them. Investigate & expose the trade in illegal &
destructively logged timber.
Engage government & industry to end their role in
ancient forest destruction support the right of forest
people
14. Greenpeace in India has been working on
various issues related to the environment since 2001.
Work in India is focused on four broad campaign
namely- stop climate change , sustainable agriculture,
preserving the oceans and preventing another nuclear
catastrophe . Over the Years, Greenpeace India has
built a strong base of supporters spread across the
country
15. Greenpeace organization is very important our
environment . Greenpeace exist too expose environmental
criminals, and to challenge government and corporations.
When they fail to live up to their mandate to safe guard our
environment and our future. As one of the longest banners
Greenpeace have even made summed things up “ when
the last tree is cut , the last river is poisoned , and the last
fish dead, we will discover that we cant money.”
