Paid To Write Essays
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Paid To Write Essays" presents a unique set of challenges.
Primarily, it delves into a morally ambiguous territory, requiring a delicate balance between
impartial analysis and ethical considerations. On one hand, exploring the phenomenon of
individuals being compensated for academic writing demands a thorough examination of the
motivations behind such practices, including financial incentives and academic pressures. Yet, on
the other hand, it necessitates a critical evaluation of the consequences, both ethical and
educational, of this growing industry.
Furthermore, navigating through the various perspectives surrounding this topic proves intricate.
One must contend with arguments advocating for the freedom of choice and economic
empowerment for writers, juxtaposed against concerns regarding academic integrity, plagiarism,
and the devaluation of education. Additionally, the essay must delve into the broader societal
implications, including the erosion of trust in educational systems and the perpetuation of
inequality in academia.
Moreover, the task is compounded by the need for extensive research to provide a
comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted dimensions of the issue. This involves
analyzing scholarly articles, industry reports, legal frameworks, and real-life case studies to
construct a well-informed argument. Synthesizing these diverse sources while maintaining
coherence and relevance poses a significant challenge.
Lastly, there's the inherent difficulty in remaining objective and unbiased when tackling such a
contentious subject. Striking a balance between presenting differing viewpoints without
endorsing or condemning them requires careful attention to language and tone.
In conclusion, composing an essay on the topic of "Paid To Write Essays" demands meticulous
research, critical thinking, and ethical reflection. It entails navigating through moral ambiguities,
diverse perspectives, and complex societal implications. Despite its challenges, addressing this
topic provides an opportunity to engage in meaningful discourse about the intersection of
education, economics, and ethics.

Panic Disorders And Fear
All humans have feelings. One of those feelings is fear. Many are afraid of the
same things. There is a difference between panic disorder and fear, the body will
respond naturally whether it wants to or not. This also affects the blood pressure and
will cause it to change. One of the most common fears is arachnophobia. This is the
fearof spiders. Multiple humans are afraid of them because they are small and
silent. Another fear that is extremely common is ophidiophobia or the fear snakes.
(Kahn, 2008) This particular fear may be caused by the mind saying snakes look
scary and may eat one self. Most people them because they can eat double the size of
the biggest part of its body. There are people with a diagnosis called panic disorder.

My Personal Experience In College Education
Spring 2017 was the worst semesters for me in comparison to my entire college
education. I returned back to college after leaving for six years. I started back spring
2016 at Cuny Hostos . I took 5 classes in the spring and Fall and one class over the
summer. I maintained a GPA over 3.0. I had 3.54 the spring, I passed my summer
class and I maintained a 3.94 for the fall . I transferred from there due to the distance
and I attended my first semester at BrooklynCollege. So many elements affected me
and I must be honest and say this was a very hard adjustment for me. My toddler
son had contracted pink eye on three separate occasions. One of my closest friends
experienced a horrible anxiety attack where she flat lined twice in front of me. I m
unsure of the name the EMT called it but he said due to the stress she was dealing
with that her body shut down on her. Having to be her main source of support has
mentally and physically strained everything in me. Another stressful situation that
took place was my cousin experienced a event which caused her to have a psychotic
breakdown. She witness a murder while she was away in college and she tried to
cope with drugs and a bunch of other things. Her parents went and got her and she
was in a manic stage. She was home for about three days, not sleeping, not eating,
just babbling about a few different things. Full of rage, energy it was a very long
three days with her. My mom finally convinced her parents that she needs to go to
Analysis Of Gus Giordano s Embodying Classical Jazz
Dance...
In 1975, Gus Giordano published the book, The Anthology of American Jazz,
which lays out everything that he discovered over the course of his career (
History. ). Giordano s technique, drawn from his previous training, cultural
upbringing, and his immigrant roots, created a true American art form (Sabo,
Embodying Classical Jazz Dance Technique 2). Unlike Mattox s complex aesthetic
and Luigi s balletic quality, the central value of Giordano s jazz technique is
derived from the power and strength initiated from the core and extending through
the rest of the body (Sabo, Made in America 63). Though many forms of dance
contain this principle, Gus took it a step further by specifying the importance of
energy in even the smallest parts of the body. For example, his book suggests
exercises for conditioning the fingers in order to correctly perform his signature,
often complex, hand positions seen throughout his choreography (Sabo, Embodying
Classical Jazz Dance Technique 5). Isolation, which is a huge component of
Giordano s technique, further portrays strength coupled with control and
sensuality, and is not only seen in movements of the hands, but also in the torso
and neck (Sabo, Embodying Classical Jazz Dance Technique 11). Gus placed
emphasis on the use of the neck to support the heavy head. His aesthetic is
considered very regal due to the high held chin, specifically a lift measuring the
distance of the thumb and index finger between the chin and clavicle, and isolation
of the shoulders and torso (Sabo, Embodying Classical Jazz Dance Technique 7).
Another key characteristic of his technique is the use of groundedness, through
pliГ©, to portray strength and power. His class often started barefoot, honoring
African traditions, which helped his dancers achieve this quality (Sabo, Embodying
Classical Jazz Dance Technique 6). Gus also mentions the use of the forced arch, a
position in which the dancers move on the balls of their feet while maintaining a
pliГ©, to accentuate the aesthetic of cool through the opposition of attitudes in
African and ballet principles (Sabo, Embodying Classical Jazz Dance Technique 11).
Giordano s end goal was never to develop his own technique, but instead to simply
dance
Eli Whitney Cotton Gin
Many people have impacted America in the past. These people included writers,
soldiers, presidents, actors, inventors, athletes, musician, and artists. Eli Whitney is
known for inventing the cotton gin and promoting interchangeable parts. Did
Whitney deserve praise for the cotton gin and the idea of interchangeable parts? Yes,
his cotton gin increased cotton production and interchangeable parts allowed faster
assembly lines. Whitney met Catherine Greene, a widow of a Revolutionary war
veteran and Phineas Miller, a manager of Greene s plantation Mulberry Grove, near
Savannah, in Georgia after accepting an offer to study law there. Greene and Miller
addressed the lack of production for cotton in their plantation. Whitney created the

The Philosophy of International and Free Trade
A trade liberalization process on a global scale has started since the post WWII
period, with most countries pursuing the philosophy of international and national free
trade. Even though the complete free trade has not been made possible yet, and
maybe it will never be, numerous agreements have been made in the name of trade
liberalization. They allowed the trade between different countries and within the same
country to a certain degree of liberalization where several new business practices can
be implemented.
The two highest expressions of this trade liberalization are off shoring and
outsourcing. Moreover these two practices are more and more often applied together.
However, it is crucial to clearly distinct the differences between off shoring and
outsourcing. It is common mistake to consider them as synonyms. Off shoring can
occur without out sourcing necessarily taking place, on the other hand the existence
of out sourcing does not mean off shoring is happing as well.
Definitions:
Off shoring refers to the relocation by a company of a business process, either
operational or supporting ones, from one country to a different one. However
recently it is commonly used in relation to the practice of relocation to developing
countries, with lower wages. It can consist of administrative or technical processes,
such as accounting and manufacturing. On the other hand some business services,
such as legal services, tend to be out sourced instead of off shore.

The Effect Of Various Drugs On The Heart Rate Of
Daphnia...
This laboratory exercise was performed to visualize the effects of various drugs on
the heart rate of Daphnia magna. The four drugs tested consisted of: Lidocaine,
Acetylcholine, Caffeine, and Nicotine. These drugs were designed to have an
apparent effect on the average heart rate of the Daphnia. The laboratory exercise was
divided into two parts and procedures: measuring the basal heart rateof Daphnia, and
measuring the druginduced heart rate of Daphnia. In order to measure the basal heart
rate, various Daphnia were obtained and observed under a microscope at 40x
magnification for two separate trials. Using the same technique, the drug induced
heart rate with each drug (Lidocaine, Acetylcholine, Caffeineand Nicotine) was
measured and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These drugs were utilized in order to demonstrate the positive and negative effects on
cell communication. Cell communication consists of three steps: reception,
transduction, and response. Reception involves the binding of a ligand and a
receptor; transduction is a cascade of actions between molecules and their proteins,
and response is the change that occurs afterwards (1). The goal of this laboratory
exercise was to observe and determine the effects of chemical agents on Daphnia s
cell communication receptors. Different drugs have different effects on the
circulatory system, and with higher concentrations of each, come more serious
effects (3). The hypothesis for this laboratory exercise was: if Daphnia were placed
into Caffeine or Nicotine, then their heart rate would increase. In comparison, if
Daphnia were placed into Acetylcholine or Lidocaine, then their heart rate would
decrease.
Methods and Materials:
In order to complete this exercise, two different procedures were conducted; one
measured the basal heart rate, and the other measured the drug induced heart rate. A
sample s basal heart rate can be defined as the resting heart rate. This is when no
drugs or altering substances are applied. In comparison, the drug induced heart rate of
a sample can be defined as the heart rate after the drug was administered to the
surrounding environment. The four drugs tested on the Daphnia specimens were

Students At Public Schools Of Varying Size And...
Students attending public schools of varying size and socioeconomic elements
continue to have distinct experiences and outcomes. Research over the years has
pointed to the complexities regarding the issue of equal and appropriate education
for all students (Howley, 2008). School size and structure have been at the forefront
of educational decisions since the 1800s. Socioeconomic standing has also been a
large factor in the success of students since the early 1900s (NCES, 2014). The
current body of research leans toward medium and small size schools as being the
most effective for student achievement outcomes and participation rates in activities.
In addition, the literature supports the view that students from economically... Show

Current national reform efforts, a comprehensive review of recent school
consolidation efforts in Pennsylvania, as well as an examination of current financial
calculations and statistics used by the PDE to determine wealth within a district are
reviewed. Also, current high school enrollment information in Pennsylvania is
presented. The literature surrounding high school size and related to the benefits of
educational opportunities offered to students is reviewed. The final section of this
chapter discusses the gaps in the literature that this researcher has identified. The
literature review indicates the complexity of the issue of how school size and
economics affect students and their access to curricular and co curricular offerings.
The Purpose of Schools in the United States The education of students has been
highly debated for centuries. To fully understand the depth, complexity, and passion
surrounding the issues of school size and SES and their place in the current
educational debate, a historical perspective on the on going argument must be
outlined. This research frames the idea of the transition from the one room
schoolhouses of the 1700s to the mega schools of today that enroll 2,000 to 3,000
students. For perspective, in 1919 there were almost 200,000 one teacher schools
compared to just over 300 in 2005 (Rooney Augenblick, 2009).
The Swiss Reformation
Despite the initial successes of the Reformation in the strongest and most populous
parts of the Confederation, the Catholics mobilised their forces to strike back.
Secular authorities in the Catholic areas took over many of the rolis of the bishops in
such matters as justice and finance, and in some cases even the appointment of priests.
Following the examples of the Reformers, the Catholics also built schools, which
were run by the Jesuits. A great contribution to the Catholic renewal in Switzerland
was made by Cardinal Carlo Borromeo. He set up the collegium Helveticum in
Milian in 1579 to train Swiss clergy. Borromeo was canonised in 1610 and is
regarded as the patron saint of Catholic Switzerland.
The Catholics also won back some territory. Some of the common lordships
readopted Catholicism after their victory at Kappel in 1531. In 1567 Bern gave
Chablais and the Pays de Gex back to Savoy after the intervention of the Catholic
Cantons. However, other regions remained Protestant despite great pressure. These
included the Toggenburg, although it belonged to the St. Gallen monastery. In some
Cantons people were able to freely choose their own faith. Glarus stayed confessional
and Appenzell split in 1597 into Catholic Inner Rhodes and Protestant Outer Rhodes.
Before the Swiss Reformation, in 1499 an attempt of the German emperor to bind
the diverging territories of the empire more tightly to the crown resulted in the so
called Swabian War, the emperor was defeated and
Cultural Policy in Taiwan Essay
Cultural Policy in Taiwan
Taiwan has its own very special government system. On the central government level
(relevant to the federal government), there are both president and premier in the
system. The National Assembly is the representation of all citizens to the president,
and the Legislative Assembly is to the premier who is in charge of the Executive Yuan
, the top administrative body of Taiwan. The current National Assembly is in charge
of the change of constitution laws, while the Legislative Yuan makes all other laws.
The Council for Cultural Affairs reports directly to the Executive Yuan. It is one of
the 17 Councils that are under the governance the Executive Yuan, and it was

All these above mentioned functions of the Council were conducted with a single
Council body and decided by the chairperson and the Board. The Council is also
asked to promote Taiwanese/Chinese cultureinternationally, and set up cultural
divisions overseas. Although Taiwan is not a very big place geographically, it does
have a large population (about 230 million people). Keeping all these functions in
one body is not very keeping all the functions working effectively. As we discussed
in class, some of the functions in the Council s guideline can be separated to be
mandates for setting up separate department in a government (of any level), such as
heritage preservation, cultural administrative body and a separate granting agency,
such as in Canada, on the federal level of arts and culture, there are Department of
Canadian Heritage, Ministry of Canadian Heritage, and the a separate arts granting
body, the Canada Council for the Arts. The Taiwanese Council for Cultural Affairs is
aware of this, so the Council has been promised recently in the most recent national
elections that it is going to evolve into the Ministry of Culture under the Executive
Yuan, and a separate arts granting agency, National Culture and Arts Foundation, was
established in January 1996.

Essay on Made to Order Hero
Made to Order Hero
Many times in life we encounter an individual that touches us in some profound way.
The relation of this individual to the person they are influencing is as diverse as the
personal experiences that causes this admiration. This individual, or hero, can impact
and totally change the direction of someone s life. A herocan be anyone, from a
professional athlete, to a public service figure, to a relative or parent. Each hero is
defined by an individual s definition of what a hero is and should be. The definition
of a hero has not always been this liberal. As time and the world have progressed so
has the definition of the word hero. The poems Beowulf and Sir Gawin and the
Green Knight are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Beowulf followed what he believed was right, helping out a friend in need and
keeping his word. Gawain searches out the Green Knight and fulfills his
commitment because it was how he was raised; it was the thing the law said was
right. ...There were penalties for violation of the spoken bond in medieval society,
related legality to Christian morality violation of contracts with man to breaking
faith with God (Vantuono XXVI). Gawain keeps his word in order to stay right
with the Lord God, whereas Beowulf does not appear to be influenced by God, only
by himself and his belief that he should help out others whom had previously aided
he and his family.
Perhaps the story within the Poem of Gawain and the Green Knight provides us
with the best possible view of the Christian influence on the heroic code. The story
itself seems to somewhat parallel the Biblical story of the life of Jesus Christ.
Gawain steps forward and takes on the Green Knight for King Arthur, knowing full
well that in one year and a day the Green Knight was to repay Gawain with the
same action. This is very similar to the idea that Christ came to earth to take on the
sins of His people, knowing full well that the result would be His death instead of
ours. Later Gawain must fend off the temptations offered by others to flee and not
keep his word. Gawain speaks
The Accounting Principles And Procedures
When a company reports its financial reports, the information is expected to be
reliable, verifiable, consistency, and comparability when applying accounting
principles and procedures. The accounting principles and procedures directly affect
the company s balance sheet and it financial statement by depending on hot it s
prepared and interpreted. If there are any changes in the accounting principles and
procedures when preparing the financial statements, it should be notified and
documented any changes that made to the company s accounting practices.
Therefore, this paper is going to address about a company that has decided to change
its accounting method of depreciation to a declining balance method and weather its
decrease net income or not, results of changes in principle or estimate, importance of
choosing the accounting methods, and the influence of errors and corrections in the
financial statements.
Changing Depreciation method to a Declining Balance Method The straight line
method has always used by the company, but recently the company decided to change
its method of depreciating long term assets to be consistent with major competitors,
which use a declining balance method. However, this change will cause past
expenses to be higher and income to be lower. It is important to remember that net
income from continuing operations will decrease at the time of recognition; meaning
in the future depreciation expense will decrease, but in a long run it will increase

Structural Insanity In The 19th Century
It is essential to recognize that the meaning of insanity shifts depending on time and
place. What this means is that insanity, is in part, situated. Despite social change in
19th century America, power contributed to women being admitted to state insane
asylums. Those who are powerless lack authority; lack a sense of self; those over
whom power is exercised without their exercising it; the powerless are situated so
that they must take orders and rarely have the right to give them; the powerless have
little or no work autonomy, have no technical expertise or authority...and do not
command respect. Powerlessness, [is thus a] status best described negatively (Young,
2003, 56, 57). In the context of 19th century America, white middle class men... Show

Although gender contributed to why women were committed, race tells the story of
who was not committed, and when blacks were committed, the reasoning differed
from that of committing white women and white men. While insane asylums
produced racial and gender oppression, social class contributed by affecting
whether an individual was placed into a state or public insane asylum. Making
visible how these types of oppression intersects, sheds light on science s
misconceptions; misconceptions that sanctioned discrimination towards certain
groups, i.e. women and people of color. If one starts to deconstruct the science of
the 19th century, one will begin to see the layers of hidden assumptions and
contradictions. A science not completely rooted in objectivity, but in a science
influenced by politics and a society dominated by white males. As Benjamin
Pasamanick argues in Myths Regarding Prevalence of Mental Disease in the
American Negro, it would seem apparent that the thesis that the Negro has reacted to
segregation, and the struggle to desegregate and eliminate discrimination, by an
increased rate of psychoses must be discarded. The data for this were never very
good, were obviously selected and contradictory (1964,
The Causes of US Intervention in Nicaragua
In 1845, a Nicaraguan journalist warned his compatriots, The waterway across the
Isthmus of Nicaragua is the apple of our Eden. It will be our curse . This metaphor is
appropriate in that it reflects the turbulent times the country of Nicaragua will face as
a direct result from U.S. military intervention. In 1857, the United States utilized
military intervention in order to save the nation of Nicaraguafrom a citizen of their
own upbringing. William Walker, an ambitious American filibuster hailing from
Pennsylvania had been overrunning several Latin American nations in pursuit for his
own economic profits; however, in the end, the administrative government of the
United States determined that the efforts of the military were unfounded and would
reflect poorly; therefore the operation was repudiated by the government. The failure
of the American government to fully dismiss William Walker s conquest for power
within the Latin Americaand punish him accordingly underscores how the United
States consistently proves to support figures that often have the worst intentions but
claim to uphold the interests of America.
The causes of military intervention within Nicaragua in 1857 to stop William Walker
can be traced back to the economic and social impulses that had erected from the
onset of Manifest Destiny occurring within the United States. The 1800s represented
the time of ambition, growth, and development all falling under the big umbrella
known as the Manifest Destiny. By
The Characteristics Of Baroque Music
At first glance, a number of pieces of baroque music can seem pretty straightforward
and simplistic. When performed exactly as it is written, usually by amateurs, the
music may not be able to grab the listener s attention and it is easy to assume that
listeners back then had different musical ears that modern listeners do that gave them
the ability to tolerate such simplistic pieces. Could this really be the musicthat some
records have shown to drive people of the Baroqueera to tears and even the urge to
faint? It is when a vocalist begins to embellish and ornament the various notes and
give their own improvisational touches to the piece that it truly begins to have
character and grips the listener with it s pulchritudinous composition, such as is with
works such as Monteverdi s famous Ariadne s Lament, a gorgeous work capable of
moving most to tears; this is the importance of ornamentation when it comes to
musicians performing Baroque era music.
Unfortunately, there has been little research and discussion on what vocal
characteristics are suitable for the most authentic Baroque performance. A very
common misunderstanding is that Baroque music is innately limited, simple, or
uninspired; however, the truth of it is that the music of the Baroque gives the
performer the freedom personal expression and individualized that is unrivaled by
most other periods of music history. To further illustrate, the Baroque era is like the

Contraceptives And Reproductive Rights
The issue of contraceptives is mainly seen as a reproductive rights and women s
rights issue; touching on the Pro Life v Pro Choice debate. With contraceptives,
women can be seen to be given equality (promotes equality). It allows them autonomy
and choice. It allows women to have control over their own bodies and select choices
as they see fit. Having religiously affiliated organizations refusing to fulfill the
requirements of the ACA limits the autonomy of female employees. It can also be
argued that this issue infringes on the employees First Amendment rights. Proponents
of the mandate believe that religiously affiliated organizations, particularly for profit
organizations, are responsible for providing reproductive services (including

toxic MIC vapour into the atmosphere. The leak caused the death of more than
2,000 people and the health effects on about 200,000 locals in the surrounding
shanty towns (Kletz 2009, p. 338). Long term financial difficulties One cause of the
Bhopal chemical disaster was long term financial difficulties, resulting in limited
training and inadequate maintenance. limited training According to Joseph,
Kaszniak and Long (2005, p. 544), prior to the disaster, the company had been
facing a financial crisis for many years because the sale of pesticides had been
fallen. Mannan (2012, p. 2649) points out that due to the budget cuts, many plant
operators received insufficient training on operations and safety awareness. As
shown in figure 1, there was a decrease in the length of training programmes for plant
operators from 18 months in 1975 to only one month in December 1984, which is
mentioned by Chouhan (2005, p. 207). Therefore, Chouhan (2005, p. 207) indicates
that without the knowledge of runaway reactions occurring in the storage tank when
the accident happened, many workers could not immediately take any emergency
action to lessen the risk of the MIC escape from
The Role Of Gun Ownership In America
As long as gun ownership is legal in America, gun will makes both positive and
negative influence. On the one hand, it changes the home defense way and builds the
hunting culture. On the other hand, there are lots of gunshot incidents happened.
Government, especially the Republicans, are in favor of gunownership legally.
Although there are lots of gunshot incidents happened here in America, law still
does not changed much. For example, the latest one, on the night of October 1,
2017, the mass shooting Sunday evening on the Las Vegas Strip, leaves 58 people
dead and 546 injured, but there s an article published by the New York Time, titled
Nothing Will Change After the Las Vegas Shooting (STEVE ISRAEL), says even

American said that the gun laws should be more strict and only 18% of them said
the gun laws should be less strict. There is even an American nonprofit organization,
The National Rifle Association of America (NRA), advocates for gun rights. Another
survey also conducted by Pew Research Center in 2017 shows that, 74% of gun
owners agree with that owning a firearm is tied to their sense of personal freedom.

The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part Time Indian And Jin...
INTRODUCTION ~ THESIS When evaluating Arnold Junior Spirit from Sherman
Alexie s The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian and Jin Wang from Gene
Luen Yang s American Born Chinese, similarities radiate in both characters as their
disparity in race deem the two of them as outcasts in the entirety of society. In
addition to their lack of social interactions, their uniformity in their impulsive
decisions cost them each a dear friend. Although Junior and Jin are quite similar, they
share differences in the way Junior tries bettering himself by fitting into both his
Indian and Reardan culture whereas Jin changes himself in every possible way to
become Americanized. *** The correspondence between Junior and Jin is detected in

A world once filled with Asian friends and neighbors crashes harshly as Jin is left
stranded in a white dominated school. Stereotypes and teasing are quickly placed
on him from his racial background. Still new to the area, Jin presumes, The only
other Asian in my class was Suzy Nakamura. When the class finally figured out
that we weren t related, rumors began to circulate that Suzy and I were arranged to
be married on her thirteenth birthday. We avoided each other as much as possible
(Yang 31). Embarrassment clouds Jin as he realizes that he s not like the other kids
in his class. With distinct features and his native tongue, Jin felt like a reject
surrounded by his Caucasian classmates. He was entirely alone amongst his peers,
and he didn t like that one single bit. In this way, it s clear how both Junior and Jin
felt like outcasts in these two oceans of white students and teachers. ***
Acknowledged in both novels, Junior and Jin s spontaneous actions leave them both
friendless and bruised. In Junior s case, this meant ditching the reservation s
schooling system and finding one that surpasses the education he was taught. In the
spur of the moment, Junior decides to do just that and attend an all white school in
the neighboring town. Getting the courage to tell his best friend, Junior braces
himself for Rowdy s reaction. Denial embedded his friend s senses; remoteness then
trickled its way through his head
Music And Spatial Task Performance
For decades there has been research and study, debate and critique, media,
marketing, and mystery surrounding one theory: music makes you smarter. It isn t
a new thing for parents to play Mozart s Piano Sonata No. 10 in C Major for their
infant in the hopes that it will somehow increase their chances of becoming a child
prodigy, but it has been years since the Mozart effect was presented to the public. It
was 1993 when Frances H. Rauscher first considered the effects of musical exposure.
The same year he published an article in Nature entitled Musicand spatial task
performance in which he reported that only ten minutes of listening to a Mozart
sonata produced short term increases in spatial reasoning skills, thus termed the
Mozart effect (Moreno 2). But Rauscher was only the first and the findings have only
multiplied in the last twenty years. Teachers, parents, scientists, psychologists and
musicians all over the world having been searching to discover if musical training or
expertise truly increases your intelligence, and countless studies have been done in
which the link between music and cognitionor intelligence is closely examined. While
great strides have been made and the findings are of significant value, the problem
seems to be finding absolute causality between musical training and increased
intelligence. Substantial evidence from many different studies has shown higher
scores on tests involving certain language skills and mathematic skills, as well as

Physical Therapist or known as PTs, Physical Therapist Assistants, and a Geriatric
Physical Therapist all sound like great careers. They are all the same in a way just

rather be a Physical Therapist than a PT assistant and a Geriatric Physical

assist a therapist. My research shows that a Physical Therapists duty is to restore
maximal functional and independence to each individual patient. They evaluate,

PTs examine each individual patient and develop a plan using treatment techniques
to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and to prevent

when they will be healed. The PTs know how to ease the pain when the patients
come to see them. The patients would most likely have a smile on their face
because the Physical therapist would help reduce their pain and make it go away
for a while and help them be able to move with ease. They would also most likely

The advantages of EOQ models are as follows
1 minimizes holding cost Storing inventory is an expensive process for any
business . The main advantage of this model is that it helps in decreasing the
storage or holding cost of goods by getting at the optimum inventory level . If the
holding costs are high in a firm then that firm may point to more orders of few items
to reduce the cost
2 minimizes ordering cost the aim of any firm is to minimize costs and the
ordering costs are no exception . The EOQ model helps in reducing the ordering costs
by placing less orders in a year but of more items .
3 Ease of operations EOQ does not only provide information about the optimum
amount of inventory to be ordered but it also helps in providing information such as
the reorder level , lead time and the amount of safety stock to hold . All these
information help in running the business efficiently and minimizing the
Biafran Freedom Movement
Rise and Fall of the Republic of Biafra Throughout the course of history, ethnic and
racial issues have always been on the rise across the globe. In fact, there have been
many horrific atrocities committed world wide under the name of ethnic cleansing.
However, it is important to note that ethnic issues have risen up to a new level in
the late 20th century. One such example of a horrific atrocity of the 20th century
was the Holocaust, in which Germany s leader Adolf Hitler decided to exterminate
the Jewish people because he believed that Jews were dominating Germany in all
fields. Furthermore, in words of Samuel Huntington in the era of globalization the

Pogroms according to OED, is an organized massacre of a particular ethnic group.
Additionally, pogrom is a word Russian which basically means to wreak havoc, to
demolish violently.[iv] Therefore, it can easily inferred from the definition of
Pogroms how the Igbo people began to feel insecure and unsafe in Nigeria after the
counter coup and government sponsored pogroms. For instance, Achebe in his book,
There was a Country writes that the July 1966 counter coup and the pogroms against
the Igbo people, killed over thirty thousand civilian men, women and children were
slaughtered, hundreds of thousands were wounded, maimed and violates, their
homes and property looted and burned and no one asked any questions. [v]This
statement of Achebe clearly illustrates how because of the horrific counter coup and
the government implemented pogrom policy against the Igbo people have
generated doubts in Igbo people s mind on their stand whether one united and
peaceful Nigeria can actually exist or not. Also, this statement again emphasizes the
fact that how the mass violence and murders of Igbo people escalated the tensions
between the Igbos and other Nigerians groups and tribes, which eventually led to
emergence in the Biafra s liberation movement among the Igbo people. Moreover,
Achebe writes, ethnic riots happens everywhere in the world. But in this particular
case a detailed plan for mass killing was implemented by the government the army,
the police the very people who were there to protect life and property. [vi] This
statement of Achebe further indicates how when the Igbo people began to see that
their own government is planning on exterminate them, the anti Nigerian feelings
began to emerge in the Igbo people. It can be even said that at that point the Igbo
Ancient Egypt And Ancient Ghana Empires
African civilizations prior to initial contact with Europeans in the mid 15th century
were scientifically, politically, and economically advanced. Although many scholars
claim that Africa was ahistoric until Europeans saved them, both Ancient Egypt and
Ancient Ghana empires show that Africans had created sophisticated civilizations
without European influence. The Ancient Egyptian empire was mainly the product of
a farming and technological revolution. Animal domestication, crop cultivation, and
mass farming laid the foundations for civilization to flourish, and these factors led
permanent communities to develop. Ancient Egyptalso became known for the
domestication of wheat and barley. The lifestyle of the people in Ancient Egyptwas
supported by the location of the Nile river that allowed an aquatic culture to grow.
Not only did the Nile river allow for irrigation practices and fertile land for crops,
the Nile river also made it possible for trade to be established. Thus, the origins of
Ancient Egypt were strongly influenced by the culture of the Afro Asiatic people
and the Nilo Saharans. The Afro Asiatic people were skilled at collecting and
grinding grains, and the Nilo Saharans shared techniques for hunting large antelope
and other grassland animals. The Nile river made it possible for people to travel to
and from Egypt to share such ideas and cultures. The Egyptian empire successfully
lasted 3000 years after King Narmer of Upper Egypt conquered lower Egypt and
Hidden Figures

of the Civil Rights Movement during the mid 50s to late 60s. Also taking place
during that time period was the Space Race, which was a competition between the
United States and the Soviet Union to see who could send a man into space first. The
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) was working furiously to
help the US win; although they came in second place, they eventually sent a man
into space, but the credit is largely due to the human supercomputers that completed
the calculations necessary for the mission to be successful. It did, however, take the

The Battle Of The Final War
Polis. The name probably didn t have quite the impact as its parent word
metropolis , but the parent word was cumbersome and, as people are wont to do,
prone to shortening. The parent word may have better conveyed the city s size and
scope and industry...or maybe not. Perhaps that was why the word was changed
over time: as the city grew and grew, the word metropolis seemed to become more
and more inadequate. And Mega City One was just lame. In the aftermath of the
Final War (as people called it, when referring to the conflict that gave rise to Polis),
things changed. Gradually, at first, as those leaders that were perceived to have
failed were replaced sometimes violently by people who genuinely seemed to care
about the population s needs and concerns. The country was slowly transformed,
town by ruined town, city by devastated city, state by crippled state. Those who d
survived were often eager for a leadership that would give them the direction they
wanted, that put the people first, that put the needs of society ahead of the needs
of self. It was not socialism, as that was one of the driving forces that had led to the
Final War in the first place; nor was it capitalism, as that had been another driving
force of the War instead, a curious blend of social conservatism rose to fill the void,
and it was embraced by the survivors. As months became years, and years became
decades, things gradually changed. Those who d begun the revival were elevated to

Simon s Hostile Tender for Taubman
Introduction:
The Taubman Company is one of the preeminent retail developers/owners/managers
in the United States and its properties among the most productive in the nation.
Simon is the largest shopping center owner and manager in the country and was
interested in Taubman because Taubman, a much smaller company, has among the
most unique, profitable and high quality shopping centers in the country. It was much
easier to buy a shopping center company than to develop shopping centers from the
ground up, which is really why Simon was interested in Taubman. Thus, Simon
Property Group launched a hostile tender offer for Taubman Centers.
This was a hostile bid because Taubman was not for sale and, therefore, a negotiated

To overcome with this problem, Umbrella Partnership REIT (UPREIT) was invented
in December of 1992 by the Taubman Realty Group. The UPREIT is a concept that
allows a real estate owner to go public without making a taxable real estate exchange.
As per the textbook and realestateportfolio.com web site, A UPREIT works as
follows: A REIT forms a partnership in which property owners contribute real estate
assets in exchange for partnership interests, which are called operating partnership
units or OP units. The former property owners can exchange their partnership units
on a one for one basis for REIT shares or cash, at the REIT s option. Since there is
no fundamental change in ownership, there is no taxable event until the property
owner actually receives REIT shares or cash. A transaction that exchanges real
property for stock would be a taxable event. The UPREIT helped by permitting
property owners to defer taxes until partnership units are converted to stock or cash.
The advantage is this structure provides a viable exit strategy to commercial
property owners who otherwise might have significant capital gain tax liabilities on
the sale of appreciated property. In addition, the investor benefits from additional
diversification because they have an interest in a portfolio of commercial properties
instead of just one property. This structure is not appropriate for every investor as
they must have property that the REIT wants to add to their

Glaucoma Is A Progressive Form Of Optic Neuropathy
Glaucoma is a progressive form of optic neuropathy that is characterised by
structural changes to the optic nerve head (ONH) and corresponding patterns of
functional visual field (VF) loss. It is a major cause of irreversible blindness in the
world.
Currently, the pathogenesis responsible for glaucoma is not well understood. It has
been suggested that local ischemia or mechanical damage from a raised intraocular
pressure (IOP) resulting in retinal ganglion cell (RGC) loss may have a role in its
aetiology. The treatment for glaucoma aims to reduce IOP through therapeutic or
surgical means to reduce glaucomatous progression. The first line of treatment
involves topical therapy such as eye drops. There are many classes of anti glaucoma
drops with prostaglandin analogues being the most potent ocular hypotensive with a
good safety profile.
Before initiating treatment, it is important to consider factors such as the risk of
progression and the patient s suitability to the particular therapy chosen. Once
treatment has been initiated, patients must be reviewed regularly to assess the
efficacy of the treatment, monitor for adverse reactions, confirm compliance, and to
identify signs of progression.
Glaucoma is a form of progressive optic neuropathy that has clinically visible
structural damage at the ONH and RNFL that correlates to a functional VF deficit1 4.
These glaucomatous structural changes include thinning or notching of the NRR,
bayonetting of vessels, loss of RNFL,
Privatization Of Prisons And Its Effects On Private Prisons
Privatization of prisons is the confining of inmates by a third party that is contracted
by a government agency and it refers to the takeover of present public facilities by
private operators and the operation of new prisons by for profit prison companies.
Privatization is simply a contract that shifts public functions and responsibilities, in
whole, from the public sector to the private sector. Private prisons can also be defined
as a contract to provide other services to public prisons such as transportation,
maintenance, food, and a contract to project and operate new prisons. There are two
sides to the argument about the privatization of prisons. Both have strong arguments
in whether they are for or against the model. I have researched the history behind
private prisons, the positives for them and also negatives that present. A very common
fallacy about private prisons is that they do not have any links to the government. In
actuality, privatized prisons normally go into a contract with a government agency to
hold inmates and in return, the government plays a key role in regulating private
prisons. Privatized prisons are run under contractual agreements which set out the
rules and standards that must be accomplished in order for these prisons to operate
within the government. Historically in the modern era, the United Kingdom was the
first European country to use private sectors as prisons to hold their inmates.
However in United States history, the movement for

In my opinion what this writer was trying to say is that no one can fight fate, if it
is meant to be it will be; a lesson that people still pass down today from generation
to generations. Aeschylus Agamemnon The major theme of Aeschylus is one that
emphasized the strong understanding of human s weakness and how the quest of
power can corrupt, but mostly he tried to emphasize that violence and vengeance
only brings about more violence and vengeance. His work also shows the belief
that good always wins and in order for people to learn from their mistakes they
must first suffer from those mistakes. Aeschylus confided his message in three
plays known as the trilogy, first one is Agememnon , and it tells a story of a
powerful king Agamennon who returned from a successful battle. However, along
the way he was given the choice to either forsake his quest of glory or sacrifice his
daughter to gain safer passage and continue on his quest. Choosing to sacrifice his

Abstract
Non recourse financing has grown in popularity, especially in developing countries.
It has done so more specifically in the basic infrastructure, natural resources and also
in the energy sectors. Large scale investments are mostly financed by project finance,
due to the costs and complexities that face the standard sources of finance. The main

There are a diverse range of definitions given for the term project finance, but in
essence the underlying theme that runs through them all is that it involves the
creation of a legally autonomous project financed with equity from one or more
sponsoring firms and non recourse debt for the purpose of investing in a capital asset
(Esty, 2006: 213). In simpler terms, according to R. J. Herring (2006), project
finance can be defined as a form of financing structure that is specialised in order to
offer a few cost advantages when there is a large amount of capital being invested.
Project finance involves the use of funds that are raised for a specific self
contained venture such as construction or a developmental project (Qfinance, 2009:
1). It is a useful and innovative financing technique that has helped with the timely
financing of many important and high profile corporate projects such as
EuroTunnel, EuroDisneyland, Enron s Dabhol Power Plant, Iridium, Globalstar,
Global Crossing the Atlantic Crossing and Pacific Crossing cables, Canary Wharf
and so forth (Esty, 2006: 214). This type of financing can help with the facilitation
and start of projects anywhere in the world, but is especially good for projects that
are undertaken in developing countries in which great difficulty arises when trying
to secure financial resources for a new project (Henrique and Sabal, 2006: 5). Project
finance uses a well engineered finance mix in order to

popular symbolism for over the past 2000 years. 2. The Great Wall was originally

reading how much time and effort they have to work in order to run a successful
business.
The Facts and Traits of a CFO
How CFO s came to be
For some reason, business in the early 1900 s didn t seem to care about their
finances and record keeping nearly as much as we do today. People didn t start
realizing this until around the 1960 s. Before the Chief Financial Officer was even
thought about, most companies had a Financial Manager . They kept track of the
financial records and handled the taxes but that was about it.
In the 1970 s, the SEC and the FASB were considering making accounting and
financing regulations more important in the business
Bad Girl Film Analysis
The American Cinema of the 1950s can be noted for its various portrayals of
masculinity and dominating consumer culture geared toward male gender. Arguably
hidden behind punks and gangsters was a class of defiant girls who subverted the
gender ideals of the time and are evidenced through a series of Bad Girl films. The
bad girl filmcycle is one of the latter trends of the 50s Social Problem film and an
examination of this cycle will provide theoretical speculation regarding its influence
on the rise of the Second Wave Feminist Movement.
In order to examine the potential influence of these films and the topicality of bad
girl representation during the 1950s scare of juvenile delinquency, the following
lines of inquiry will be explored:
1.An examination of the evolution of female representation in various film genres of
the 1950s highlighting the commonly subservient role of female characters and the
gender roles perpetuated through texts of this decade.
2.Next, I will reiterate the Social Problem film and the scare of juvenile delinquency
during the 1950s. I will introduce the bad girl film genre in more detail, expanding
the tropes/motifs of this cycle, and demonstrates how this genre can be
subcategorized as a social problem film.
3.In order to understand the contention surrounding the bad girl films and its context
in 1950s society, I will discuss the American Dream ideology of the time, primarily
through its portrayal on television. We can note the struggle
What Does Skiing Mean To Me Essay
All year long I am constantly doing some sort of sport or outdoor activity. I love
being active. If I had to choose just one I would without a doubt choose skiing.
Skiing for me is more than a sport or hobby. It is an escape. It relaxes, calms and
creates an environment that is unlike any other. That feeling of speed as the wind hits
my face is so thrilling.
I started skiing when I was just five. I started taking lessons and really learning the
basics when I was seven. When I first started skiing I did not enjoy it at all. I was
cold, tired and did not like falling down. After many lessons and skiing on my own,
I started to enjoy skiing more. I skied with friends and family a few times a year.
The elementary school I attended offered a winter ski and snowboard program. Every
Tuesday of every week from January to March my entire school would travel to
King Pine Ski Resort in Madison, NH. We would take ski lessons offered at the
mountain. During those years when I was able to leave school and be brought to
this mountain and ski with friends was when I started to look at skiing less as hobby
and more as a passion. Skiing was not just an ... Show more content on

Skiing has always helped me get through school by relieving stress and giving me a
break from having to think about one hundred things at a time. I love being
outdoors, the views, and the exercise. Above all what I love is the rush. I am sure
skiers around the world can relate to the thrill of going fifty miles per hour on two
pieces of wood and plastic strapped to your feet. Skiing is a completely unique
experience. Whether it s flying down the mountain, cutting through glades or going
off a huge kicker, the feeling is almost addicting. It creates a world where you are
only thinking about what you are doing at that exact moment and nothing else. I
believe everyone at some point in their life should experience this

  • 1. Paid To Write Essays Crafting an essay on the subject of "Paid To Write Essays" presents a unique set of challenges. Primarily, it delves into a morally ambiguous territory, requiring a delicate balance between impartial analysis and ethical considerations. On one hand, exploring the phenomenon of individuals being compensated for academic writing demands a thorough examination of the motivations behind such practices, including financial incentives and academic pressures. Yet, on the other hand, it necessitates a critical evaluation of the consequences, both ethical and educational, of this growing industry. Furthermore, navigating through the various perspectives surrounding this topic proves intricate. One must contend with arguments advocating for the freedom of choice and economic empowerment for writers, juxtaposed against concerns regarding academic integrity, plagiarism, and the devaluation of education. Additionally, the essay must delve into the broader societal implications, including the erosion of trust in educational systems and the perpetuation of inequality in academia. Moreover, the task is compounded by the need for extensive research to provide a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted dimensions of the issue. This involves analyzing scholarly articles, industry reports, legal frameworks, and real-life case studies to construct a well-informed argument. Synthesizing these diverse sources while maintaining coherence and relevance poses a significant challenge. • 6. Analysis Of Gus Giordano s Embodying Classical Jazz Dance... In 1975, Gus Giordano published the book, The Anthology of American Jazz, which lays out everything that he discovered over the course of his career ( History. ). Giordano s technique, drawn from his previous training, cultural upbringing, and his immigrant roots, created a true American art form (Sabo, Embodying Classical Jazz Dance Technique 2). Unlike Mattox s complex aesthetic and Luigi s balletic quality, the central value of Giordano s jazz technique is derived from the power and strength initiated from the core and extending through the rest of the body (Sabo, Made in America 63). Though many forms of dance contain this principle, Gus took it a step further by specifying the importance of energy in even the smallest parts of the body. For example, his book suggests exercises for conditioning the fingers in order to correctly perform his signature, often complex, hand positions seen throughout his choreography (Sabo, Embodying Classical Jazz Dance Technique 5). Isolation, which is a huge component of Giordano s technique, further portrays strength coupled with control and sensuality, and is not only seen in movements of the hands, but also in the torso and neck (Sabo, Embodying Classical Jazz Dance Technique 11). Gus placed emphasis on the use of the neck to support the heavy head. His aesthetic is considered very regal due to the high held chin, specifically a lift measuring the distance of the thumb and index finger between the chin and clavicle, and isolation of the shoulders and torso (Sabo, Embodying Classical Jazz Dance Technique 7). Another key characteristic of his technique is the use of groundedness, through pliГ©, to portray strength and power. His class often started barefoot, honoring African traditions, which helped his dancers achieve this quality (Sabo, Embodying Classical Jazz Dance Technique 6). Gus also mentions the use of the forced arch, a position in which the dancers move on the balls of their feet while maintaining a pliГ©, to accentuate the aesthetic of cool through the opposition of attitudes in African and ballet principles (Sabo, Embodying Classical Jazz Dance Technique 11). Giordano s end goal was never to develop his own technique, but instead to simply dance

The Philosophy of International and Free Trade A trade liberalization process on a global scale has started since the post WWII period, with most countries pursuing the philosophy of international and national free trade. Even though the complete free trade has not been made possible yet, and maybe it will never be, numerous agreements have been made in the name of trade liberalization. They allowed the trade between different countries and within the same country to a certain degree of liberalization where several new business practices can be implemented. The two highest expressions of this trade liberalization are off shoring and outsourcing. Moreover these two practices are more and more often applied together. However, it is crucial to clearly distinct the differences between off shoring and outsourcing. It is common mistake to consider them as synonyms. Off shoring can occur without out sourcing necessarily taking place, on the other hand the existence of out sourcing does not mean off shoring is happing as well. Definitions: Off shoring refers to the relocation by a company of a business process, either operational or supporting ones, from one country to a different one. However recently it is commonly used in relation to the practice of relocation to developing countries, with lower wages. It can consist of administrative or technical processes, such as accounting and manufacturing. On the other hand some business services, such as legal services, tend to be out sourced instead of off shore. Out sourcing

These drugs were utilized in order to demonstrate the positive and negative effects on cell communication. Cell communication consists of three steps: reception, transduction, and response. Reception involves the binding of a ligand and a receptor; transduction is a cascade of actions between molecules and their proteins, and response is the change that occurs afterwards (1). The goal of this laboratory exercise was to observe and determine the effects of chemical agents on Daphnia s cell communication receptors. Different drugs have different effects on the circulatory system, and with higher concentrations of each, come more serious effects (3). The hypothesis for this laboratory exercise was: if Daphnia were placed into Caffeine or Nicotine, then their heart rate would increase. In comparison, if Daphnia were placed into Acetylcholine or Lidocaine, then their heart rate would decrease. Methods and Materials: In order to complete this exercise, two different procedures were conducted; one measured the basal heart rate, and the other measured the drug induced heart rate. A sample s basal heart rate can be defined as the resting heart rate. This is when no drugs or altering substances are applied. In comparison, the drug induced heart rate of a sample can be defined as the heart rate after the drug was administered to the surrounding environment. The four drugs tested on the Daphnia specimens were Acetylcholine, Caffeine,

Secular authorities in the Catholic areas took over many of the rolis of the bishops in such matters as justice and finance, and in some cases even the appointment of priests. Following the examples of the Reformers, the Catholics also built schools, which were run by the Jesuits. A great contribution to the Catholic renewal in Switzerland was made by Cardinal Carlo Borromeo. He set up the collegium Helveticum in Milian in 1579 to train Swiss clergy. Borromeo was canonised in 1610 and is regarded as the patron saint of Catholic Switzerland. The Catholics also won back some territory. Some of the common lordships readopted Catholicism after their victory at Kappel in 1531. In 1567 Bern gave Chablais and the Pays de Gex back to Savoy after the intervention of the Catholic Cantons. However, other regions remained Protestant despite great pressure. These included the Toggenburg, although it belonged to the St. Gallen monastery. In some Cantons people were able to freely choose their own faith. Glarus stayed confessional and Appenzell split in 1597 into Catholic Inner Rhodes and Protestant Outer Rhodes. Before the Swiss Reformation, in 1499 an attempt of the German emperor to bind the diverging territories of the empire more tightly to the crown resulted in the so called Swabian War, the emperor was defeated and

Perhaps the story within the Poem of Gawain and the Green Knight provides us with the best possible view of the Christian influence on the heroic code. The story itself seems to somewhat parallel the Biblical story of the life of Jesus Christ. Gawain steps forward and takes on the Green Knight for King Arthur, knowing full well that in one year and a day the Green Knight was to repay Gawain with the same action. It will be our curse . This metaphor is appropriate in that it reflects the turbulent times the country of Nicaragua will face as a direct result from U.S. military intervention. In 1857, the United States utilized military intervention in order to save the nation of Nicaraguafrom a citizen of their own upbringing. William Walker, an ambitious American filibuster hailing from Pennsylvania had been overrunning several Latin American nations in pursuit for his own economic profits; however, in the end, the administrative government of the United States determined that the efforts of the military were unfounded and would reflect poorly; therefore the operation was repudiated by the government. The failure of the American government to fully dismiss William Walker s conquest for power within the Latin Americaand punish him accordingly underscores how the United States consistently proves to support figures that often have the worst intentions but claim to uphold the interests of America. The causes of military intervention within Nicaragua in 1857 to stop William Walker can be traced back to the economic and social impulses that had erected from the onset of Manifest Destiny occurring within the United States. • 18. The Characteristics Of Baroque Music At first glance, a number of pieces of baroque music can seem pretty straightforward and simplistic. When performed exactly as it is written, usually by amateurs, the music may not be able to grab the listener s attention and it is easy to assume that listeners back then had different musical ears that modern listeners do that gave them the ability to tolerate such simplistic pieces. Could this really be the musicthat some records have shown to drive people of the Baroqueera to tears and even the urge to faint? It is when a vocalist begins to embellish and ornament the various notes and give their own improvisational touches to the piece that it truly begins to have character and grips the listener with it s pulchritudinous composition, such as is with works such as Monteverdi s famous Ariadne s Lament, a gorgeous work capable of moving most to tears; this is the importance of ornamentation when it comes to musicians performing Baroque era music. Unfortunately, there has been little research and discussion on what vocal characteristics are suitable for the most authentic Baroque performance. A very common misunderstanding is that Baroque music is innately limited, simple, or uninspired; however, the truth of it is that the music of the Baroque gives the performer the freedom personal expression and individualized that is unrivaled by most other periods of music history. To further illustrate, the Baroque era is like the instructor that assigns a creative writing

The disaster occurred when water entered a methyl isocyanate (MIC) storage tank, which led to a runaway reaction and then discharged toxic MIC vapour into the atmosphere. The leak caused the death of more than 2,000 people and the health effects on about 200,000 locals in the surrounding shanty towns (Kletz 2009, p. 338). Long term financial difficulties One cause of the Bhopal chemical disaster was long term financial difficulties, resulting in limited training and inadequate maintenance. limited training According to Joseph, Kaszniak and Long (2005, p. 544), prior to the disaster, the company had been facing a financial crisis for many years because the sale of pesticides had been fallen. As shown in figure 1, there was a decrease in the length of training programmes for plant operators from 18 months in 1975 to only one month in December 1984, which is mentioned by Chouhan (2005, p. 207). In Junior s case, this meant ditching the reservation s schooling system and finding one that surpasses the education he was taught. In the spur of the moment, Junior decides to do just that and attend an all white school in the neighboring town. Getting the courage to tell his best friend, Junior braces himself for Rowdy s reaction. Denial embedded his friend s senses; remoteness then trickled its way through his head

It isn t a new thing for parents to play Mozart s Piano Sonata No. 10 in C Major for their infant in the hopes that it will somehow increase their chances of becoming a child prodigy, but it has been years since the Mozart effect was presented to the public. It was 1993 when Frances H. Rauscher first considered the effects of musical exposure. The same year he published an article in Nature entitled Musicand spatial task performance in which he reported that only ten minutes of listening to a Mozart sonata produced short term increases in spatial reasoning skills, thus termed the Mozart effect (Moreno 2). But Rauscher was only the first and the findings have only multiplied in the last twenty years. Teachers, parents, scientists, psychologists and musicians all over the world having been searching to discover if musical training or expertise truly increases your intelligence, and countless studies have been done in which the link between music and cognitionor intelligence is closely examined. While great strides have been made and the findings are of significant value, the problem seems to be finding absolute causality between musical training and increased intelligence. Substantial evidence from many different studies has shown higher scores on tests involving certain language skills and mathematic skills, as well as

Although many scholars claim that Africa was ahistoric until Europeans saved them, both Ancient Egypt and Ancient Ghana empires show that Africans had created sophisticated civilizations without European influence. The Ancient Egyptian empire was mainly the product of a farming and technological revolution. Animal domestication, crop cultivation, and mass farming laid the foundations for civilization to flourish, and these factors led permanent communities to develop. Ancient Egyptalso became known for the domestication of wheat and barley. The lifestyle of the people in Ancient Egyptwas supported by the location of the Nile river that allowed an aquatic culture to grow. Not only did the Nile river allow for irrigation practices and fertile land for crops, the Nile river also made it possible for trade to be established. Thus, the origins of Ancient Egypt were strongly influenced by the culture of the Afro Asiatic people and the Nilo Saharans. The name probably didn t have quite the impact as its parent word metropolis , but the parent word was cumbersome and, as people are wont to do, prone to shortening. The parent word may have better conveyed the city s size and scope and industry...or maybe not. Perhaps that was why the word was changed over time: as the city grew and grew, the word metropolis seemed to become more and more inadequate. And Mega City One was just lame. In the aftermath of the Final War (as people called it, when referring to the conflict that gave rise to Polis), things changed. Gradually, at first, as those leaders that were perceived to have failed were replaced sometimes violently by people who genuinely seemed to care about the population s needs and concerns. The country was slowly transformed, town by ruined town, city by devastated city, state by crippled state. Those who d survived were often eager for a leadership that would give them the direction they wanted, that put the people first, that put the needs of society ahead of the needs of self. It was not socialism, as that was one of the driving forces that had led to the Final War in the first place; nor was it capitalism, as that had been another driving force of the War instead, a curious blend of social conservatism rose to fill the void, and it was embraced by the survivors. As months became years, and years became decades, things gradually changed. Those who d begun the revival were elevated to positions of

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To overcome with this problem, Umbrella Partnership REIT (UPREIT) was invented in December of 1992 by the Taubman Realty Group. The UPREIT is a concept that allows a real estate owner to go public without making a taxable real estate exchange. As per the textbook and realestateportfolio.com web site, A UPREIT works as follows: A REIT forms a partnership in which property owners contribute real estate assets in exchange for partnership interests, which are called operating partnership units or OP units. The former property owners can exchange their partnership units on a one for one basis for REIT shares or cash, at the REIT s option. Since there is no fundamental change in ownership, there is no taxable event until the property owner actually receives REIT shares or cash. A transaction that exchanges real property for stock would be a taxable event. The UPREIT helped by permitting property owners to defer taxes until partnership units are converted to stock or cash. The advantage is this structure provides a viable exit strategy to commercial property owners who otherwise might have significant capital gain tax liabilities on the sale of appreciated property. In addition, the investor benefits from additional diversification because they have an interest in a portfolio of commercial properties instead of just one property. This structure is not appropriate for every investor as they must have property that the REIT wants to add to their

Glaucoma Is A Progressive Form Of Optic Neuropathy Glaucoma is a progressive form of optic neuropathy that is characterised by structural changes to the optic nerve head (ONH) and corresponding patterns of functional visual field (VF) loss. It is a major cause of irreversible blindness in the world. Currently, the pathogenesis responsible for glaucoma is not well understood. It has been suggested that local ischemia or mechanical damage from a raised intraocular pressure (IOP) resulting in retinal ganglion cell (RGC) loss may have a role in its aetiology. The treatment for glaucoma aims to reduce IOP through therapeutic or surgical means to reduce glaucomatous progression. The first line of treatment involves topical therapy such as eye drops. There are many classes of anti glaucoma drops with prostaglandin analogues being the most potent ocular hypotensive with a good safety profile. Before initiating treatment, it is important to consider factors such as the risk of progression and the patient s suitability to the particular therapy chosen. Once treatment has been initiated, patients must be reviewed regularly to assess the efficacy of the treatment, monitor for adverse reactions, confirm compliance, and to identify signs of progression. Glaucoma is a form of progressive optic neuropathy that has clinically visible structural damage at the ONH and RNFL that correlates to a functional VF deficit1 4. Privatization Of Prisons And Its Effects On Private Prisons Privatization of prisons is the confining of inmates by a third party that is contracted by a government agency and it refers to the takeover of present public facilities by private operators and the operation of new prisons by for profit prison companies. Privatization is simply a contract that shifts public functions and responsibilities, in whole, from the public sector to the private sector. Private prisons can also be defined as a contract to provide other services to public prisons such as transportation, maintenance, food, and a contract to project and operate new prisons. There are two sides to the argument about the privatization of prisons. Both have strong arguments in whether they are for or against the model. I have researched the history behind private prisons, the positives for them and also negatives that present. A very common fallacy about private prisons is that they do not have any links to the government. In actuality, privatized prisons normally go into a contract with a government agency to hold inmates and in return, the government plays a key role in regulating private prisons. Privatized prisons are run under contractual agreements which set out the rules and standards that must be accomplished in order for these prisons to operate within the government. Historically in the modern era, the United Kingdom was the first European country to use private sectors as prisons to hold their inmates. However in United States history, the movement for

In simpler terms, according to R. J. Herring (2006), project finance can be defined as a form of financing structure that is specialised in order to offer a few cost advantages when there is a large amount of capital being invested. Project finance involves the use of funds that are raised for a specific self contained venture such as construction or a developmental project (Qfinance, 2009: 1).
