6. Packaging must have convenient dispensing features.

1. Packaging protects the product from tampering,
maintains quality and retains freshness of the fresh
fruits and vegetables.
2. Protect the product from the transport hazards.
3. Preventing microbial and insect damage.
4. Minimize the physiological and biochemical
changes fruits and vegetables.
5. Packaging allows quick handling throughout
distribution.

6. Packaging Materials:
In many developing countries the most
commonly used packaging materials include :
Leaves, Vegetable fibers, Wood, Papers,
Newsprint, Earthenware, Glass, Plastics, Metals
etc.

8.  Corrugated Fiber Board (C.F.B.) Packaging is a versatile,
economic, light, robust , recyclable, practical and yet
dynamic form of packaging.
 Corrugated Fiber Board is made from papers made up
from cellulose fibres , which are recycled.
 The three layers of paper are assembled in a way which

of each distinct layer.
