This presentation is about step by step process towards successful change. This is a synopsis of the book written by John Kotter called "Our iceberg is melting"
The Mindset of Managing Uncertainty: The Key to Agile SuccessTechWell
The speed of global change and the advancement of technology will continue to increase the uncertainty in our work. Those with an Agile Mindset can manage uncertainty through continuous value-based discovery; those with a Fixed Mindset try to “freeze” things early to decrease uncertainty. Unfortunately, many people never switch their mindset and are doing agile while not being agile. Ahmed Sidky explains that your mindset is at the heart of your day-to-day challenges as you try to manage uncertainty more effectively. He describes how mindset impacts not only the way people think but also how people use agile practices including iterations and estimation. Whether you are just starting your journey to agile or have been doing agile but feel that you are missing some of the underlying theories and concepts behind the practices, this session is for you. Come and examine your mindset for a more productive agile journey.
The major criteria standing in the way of agile adoption or improvement are in the hands of managers, not the teams themselves. But many managers have been trained to think in ways that are a century old.
Agile organisations require a new mode of management and a new style of leadership. This talk discusses why this is and what this new paradigm might be like for your organisation.
This presentation is based on famous book 'My Iceberg is melting.' The author has taken great pain to explain principles of leadership, teamwork & change management in simple yet appealing manners.

The Secret, Yet Obvious, Ingredient to Sustainable AgilityAhmed Sidky
This was a presentation I gave at Ciklum in Kiev, Ukraine and at ScrumTrek in Moscow, Russia. The presentation discuss the notion of Agile and agility and then talks about what people should do to have sustainable agile. They key to sustainable agile is education. By educated, and changing the mindset of everyone in the company, then you will have sustainable agility. However, if you just focus on strategy, structure, and processes, but don't change the mindset and culture and habits of people it will not be sustainable. The presentation introduces the learning roadmap developed by the International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile) as a path organizations should pursue to engage their people in a common educational journey about agile and agility not Scrum or any particular process.
The International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile) accredits training organizations, corporations, academic institutes and government entities, thereby providing their members with over 20 knowledge-based and competency-based certifications to pursue, based on the ICAgile Learning Roadmap created by experts from around the world.
ICAgile is the only certification and accreditation body to offer knowledge-based and competency-based certifications in every discipline needed to sustain agility in an organization. ICAgile has engaged over 40 International Agile gurus and experts to create the most comprehensive agile learning roadmap.
ICAgile's Learning Roadmap is intentionally designed to focus on the education of agile not on any particular flavor or methodology of agile to ensure that every organization, can utilize the educational roadmap as it matures and customizes it agile processes and practices. ICAgile’s Learning Roadmap includes over 20 different certifications covering the disciplines of Agile Executive Leadership, Agile Coaching and Facilitation, Agile Enterprise Coaching, Agile Project Management and Governance, Agile Value Management and Business Analysis, Agile Software Design and Programming, and Agile Testing.
This slide set is part of the "Leading Successful Change" seminar, which is based on the award-winning story of "Our Iceberg is Melting" that illustrates how eight steps produce needed change under any conditions.
To survive as a company, the organization needs to become a shapeshifter: sometimes hierarchical, sometimes networked; sometimes efficient, sometimes effective; sometimes great at execution, and other times great at innovation. You can only achieve this by motivating people to change continuously. To achieve this, we take a closer look at gamification and habit-forming. Because games and habits are the keys to intrinsic motivation and change. And you need those in your company to become a great shapeshifter!

Executing Change Management with Agile PracticesJason Little
Organizational change is unpredictable but we tend to still run these programs like we run projects. The change program is given a scope, budget and a deadline and then we're shocked when it doesn't work! If you're forced into running a change initiative within the constraints of a project, you can use Agile practices to help you manage the uncertainty.

Agile Transition in Trouble? Using the Kotter Change Model as a Diagnostic ToolAlistair McKinnell
Agile transitions tend to imply organizational change. According to change expert John Kotter 70% of all major change efforts in organizations fail. Is it any wonder that so many agile transitions deliver only lukewarm results?

NewsTrain instructor Meg Downey helps journalists manage and survive the constant change in the newsroom. She discusses how those in the media industry can use John Kotter's eight steps to managing change. Downey, a two-time Pulitzer finalist, is the former managing editor of The Tennessean in Nashville. She gave this presentation as part of the NewsTrain workshop in Austin, Texas, on Aug. 22-23, 2014. Kotters eight step model of Organizational Change - Organizational Change an...manumelwin
30 years of research by leadership guru Dr. John Kotter have proven that 70% of all major change efforts in organizations fail.
Why do they fail?
Because organizations often do not take the holistic approach required to see the change through.
However, by following the 8 Step Process outlined by Professor Kotter, organizations can avoid failure and become adept at change. By improving their ability to change, organizations can increase their chances of success, both today and in the future.
Change is a process, not simply an event.
Jim’s session will provide insight into understanding the role of the Human Condition in the change process and how to manage it. Jim will explore:
How to make any change stick
The importance of understanding what happens to the individuals involved in any change initiative
The need to make both a logical and the emotional case for change
