God has given each person different talents and abilities. The purpose of these gifts is for us to use them to praise and glorify God. On judgment day, God will expect us to give an account of how we used the gifts he gave us. Those who worked hard with their talents will be rewarded, while those who did nothing will face God's anger. We must use the strengths and resources God has provided to accomplish great things for him.
Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Why did God give the Law - so high, So demanding, So unreasonable humanly speaking that no body (no man, no woman, no boy, no girl) has ever been able to keep them?
Who is the Holy Spirit? Learn more, including the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. Take up the challenge by Pope Francis by praying to the Holy Spirit.
There is a particular fear that is wrong, but I believe there is a fear that is right as well most especially if it's fear for the well-being of someone else. Fear is an emotion and I believe the best way, to counter this feeling is through prayer. Through prayer, we can find the strength that we need to battle fear or other emotions related to it.
Jesus modeled this kind of prayer in this prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane in Mark 14:32-38.

Our God is “El Olam” – The everlasting God. El is the name of God meaning “strength, might or power.”While the Hebrew name Olam means “world, universe, everlasting time or space.” He is the everlasting God. Eternal God. God of All Time. God of Ages. The Unchangeable God. The God of Perpetuity
Do we see God as a genie rather than who he really is? When we listen to our prayers, what is it that we hear? Do we hear ourselves usually saying, “I need this”, “I deserve that”, or “I want this”? Do we have an “ask and you will receive” mentality? Have our prayers become too self-focused?
Prayer is not about us but about the person we are praying to. Prayer is worship. John McArthur said "Prayer is first and foremost an act of worship." Think about it. Ponder on it. Let it change the way you pray. Lose yourself. Worship God in every aspect of your life.
Sermon by Mike Smith
As the apostle Paul shows, we must center our focus on living before the God of all creation in such a way as to be sure that we do so in the ways which please Him rather than mankind.
We shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10).
This is my presentation for my sermon. It's a lesson of love, forgiveness, acceptance, and repentance.

Obey in faith as we wait for the Lord 191123 Holy Light LC.pptxJohn Cheah, CAMS
Sharing from Matt 25:14-30, we looked at the Parable of the Talents. As an example of how the Kingdom of God works, we parallel it like the world today. Where bosses and teachers naturally reward those that see the same vision as them and raise who works hard for them. They then punish those that do not sing the same song.
Similarly, the Kingdom of God works like that process:
1. As Jesus’ disciples, we need to seek the pleasure of the Lord,
2. Utilise the talents or gifts given to us for His purpose,
3. Follow the Lord’s values and purpose;
For the warning is clear: those that do not live as the Kingdom of God requires, will not enjoy the presence of the Lord, and disqualifies himself from the super abundance and buried himself from the joy of the Lord!
Are we following Jesus today?

And in Actes 1:8 it is written

God has not left you on your own, he loves you too much to do that.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
Evangelization in the footsteps of Saint Vincent de Paul
Our gift and talents are for the glory of God
1. OUR GIFT AND TALENTS ARE
FOR HIS GLORY
Matthew 25:14-30
2. THE POINT
GOD HAS CREATED US VERY DIFFERENTLY AND
HE HAS GIVEN TO EACH ONE OF US DIFFERENT
CAPACITIES AND ABILITIES. THERE IS NO ONE
TO WHOM GOD HAS NOT GIVEN ANYTHING.
WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN US IS HIS INVESTMENT
IN US. HE WANTS US TO USE WHAT HE HAS
GIVEN US TO PRAISE HIM AND EXALT HIM.
THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF OUR EXISTENCE AS
WE USE WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN US, WE FIND
OUR FULFILLMENT AND WE GIVE HIM GLORY
3. MATTHEW 25
14 "Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called
his servants and entrusted his property to them.
15 To one he gave five talents of money, to another two
talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability.
Then he went on his journey.
16 The man who had received the five talents went at once and
put his money to work and gained five more.
17 So also, the one with the two talents gained two more.
18 But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug
a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.
19 "After a long time the master of those servants returned
and settled accounts with them.
4. MATTHEW 25
20 The man who had received the five talents brought the other
five. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with five talents. See, I
have gained five more.'
21 "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You
have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of
many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
22 "The man with the two talents also came. 'Master,' he said,
'you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.'
23 "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You
have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of
many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
5. MATTHEW 25
24 "Then the man who had received the one talent came.
'Master,' he said, 'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting
where you have not sown and gathering where you have not
scattered seed.
25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the
ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'
26 "His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew
that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have
not scattered seed?
27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with
the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it
back with interest.
6. MATTHEW 25
28 " 'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has
the ten talents.
