- 7. OTHER FAQ’S ABOUT YOURREQUIRED TEXT Q - Do I need the eText to do well in the course? A- YES. You will need it for Journal responses, quizzes, and other assignments. Q- Can I use older editions? A- Not Recommended. The new edition has updated research, new information, and new examples. Q- If I buy the print version, do I have to use the eText? A- YES. There will be videos, notes, and highlighted sections in the online version. The Loose Leaf version comes with an access code for the etext.

- 21. Assignments Take Time! •Expect to spend 3-9 hours per week completing assignments. • Remember assignments count as class meetings AND homework!

- 24. Is Late WorkAccepted? • You have a 5-day grace period (until Friday of that week) without penalty. • After that, late work may be submitted for ½ credit. It will be accepted any time during the semester.

- 31. Live Events –Worth 25 pts • 4 Live Events: – 1 Art Museum or Gallery – 1 Play – 1 Dance Concert – 1 Classical or Jazz Music Concert • Can be anywhere you travel to • Must be this semester
- 32. Online Alternatives Worth20 pts • A list of alternative sites with online Performances and Art Galleries will be available on Blackboard • Grades for online alternatives are worth fewer points
- 33. What counts asa Live Event? • ANY Arts event sponsored by a college or professional venue will count. • Attendance at school recitals, clubs or bars will NOT count (exception - Art Hop!) • Note- this does NOT count sporting events either!
- 34. What if anEvent has more than one art form? • You decide which art form to focus on BUT You can only count the same event ONCE.
- 35. Module Checklist • Foreach Module you will complete a short checklist • It will help you keep track of your progress.
- 36. Achievement Award • Earna total of 100 pts for Event Reports • Any combination of Live Events or Online Alternatives • Get an Achievement Award
- 37. Final Creative CulminationProject For the Final Creative Culmination Project, you will create a 5-minute media presentation on a Topic related to Arts Education.
- 38. Final Creative CulminationProject Final Creative Culmination is due by last day of Finals. • You may work alone or with a partner. • It may be in a variety of digital formats – PPT, Haiku Deck, Prezi, MyBrainshark, iMovie, Moviemaker, YouTube, etc. More information later!
- 39. Grades • To Earnan A: – Submit Event Reports worth 120 pts – Submit Final Creative Culmination Project – Total points of 900 or more • To earn a B: – Submit Final Creative Culmination Project – Total points 800-899 • To earn a C: – Total points 700-799
- 40. ePoints ePoints are earnedfor •Engagement with the community •Extra credit •Effort above and beyond You will keep track of any extra credit points earned in your ePoints Journal on Blackboard. 60 point limit for Total ePoints.
