Standards of behaviour and its limits on behaviour inside
and outside the organizations is called organizational ethics.
Ethical values translated into active language establishing
standards or rules describing the standards of behaviour an ethical person
should or should not engage in are ethical principles.
• It helps in satisfying the basic human needs in an organization like safety
needs, physiological needs etc.
• Creating credibility both within and outside the organization.
• It unites people and brings in good leadership among them.
• Decission making: a good decission is taken depending on the ethical
values of the person.
• Organizations guided by ethics and values are profitable in the long run.
• Securing the society.
Rules and regulations are to be same for everyone.
Companies policies need to be communicated with each and
every person working in the organization.
Organizations ought to respect its employees in order to expect
in return.
Management should not forget that payment of salaries and
allowances intime is important for employees.
 Give employees the space they required.
Pay and allowances to the employees on par with their abilities
and experiences.
Do not be too rigid or too liberal in the organization.
• Bosses need to set an example to their subordinates by
following the ethics and by following rules.
• Management should motivate their employees and guide
them as to what is right and what is wrong.
• Constant communication between the management and
employees is of the utmost importance in inculcating
workplace ethics.
• Lend a sympathetic ear to the employees problems and try to
solve them as early as possible.
• Dont be too strict with the employees. Respect them if you

Workplace ethics ensures that the employees are
treated with utmost respect. It leads to a sense of satisfaction
among employees and they develop a feeling of attachment to
their respective organizations.
The best way to promote workplace ethics is to be very specific
and careful while recruiting potential employees who would be
representing the top levels especially the Human Reaource
department.
Human resource professionals ought to communicate the
organizational policies and code of conduct clearly to the
employees the very first day.
