Steps in producing Fermented Plant Juice as well as application rates and usage are discussed.
Weed competition is a major limiting factor for the productivity of crops. Weed control is one of the main concerns in organic farming. Weed depletes nutrient, water and light their by reducing crops yields drastically. The chemical intervention is not permitted for weed control purpose in organic farming system. Apprehension regarding the consequence of managing weeds without the use of herbicides is a major factor limiting the adoption of organic farming by conventional growers. As wide spread application of herbicides has led to concern about contamination of environment, residues problems in soil and water, toxicity to animals and appearance to resistant weeds. The elements to consider in controlling weed problems are only the non chemical methods of weed control. These include physical /mechanical, cultural and biological methods of weed control.
Nursery management may be defined as the sum of the activities performed for the successful production, care, and marketing of different planting materials (seeds, seedlings, cuttings, etc.) in a different nursery section. Conducting employees properly, maintenance care and protection of properties, etc

What are the Organic Fertilizers Used in AgricultureShivaniPadole
Natural fertilizers derived from animals and plants are known as organic fertilizers. Carbonic compounds, which are necessary for plant growth, are added to the soil as a result. Organic fertilizers alter the physical and chemical properties of the soil, encourage microorganism reproduction, and raise the amount of organic matter in the soil. It is viewed as one of the primary supplements for green food. These pesticides can be induced genetically in plants through genetic engineering or can be found naturally in microorganisms. Soil contamination and pollution from a variety of chemicals, like fluoroacetamide, can be avoided by using Biopesticides. Additionally, they are less likely to irritate animal and human skin.
The group participated in the compost project of Pahoa High and Intermediate School. Through this, the group was able to gain knowledge about composting. Such as sifting soil, enzymes at work during the process of composting, and how composting relates to sustainability. Composting uses natural wastes, good for organic gardening, and creates nutrient-rich soil that is perfect for agriculture.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. A. Setting Standards
Differentiate between organic and
inorganic fertilizer
Explain the concepts, benefits and
uses of organic fertilizers
Give the types of organic fertilizer
B. Lesson Proper
Ok class our topic for today is all about
organic fertilizer. Let me give you first
the definition of it.
Yes ma'am/sir.
An organic fertilizer is a fertilizer that is
derived from organic sources, including
organic compost, cattle manures,
poultry droppings and domestic
sewage.
7. Now who can give another example of
organic fertilizer?
Seaweeds, animal manures and composts
How can we used seaweed as a fertilizer? By simply grinding or pulverizing dried
seaweed and sprinkling it around plants.
Give example of compost that we can
used as organic fertilizer, why?
Vegetable and fruit peels, like banana
peels. It is good for our plants because this
is a potassium-rich fertilizer.
8. Ok that's good. Now these are
some examples of organic
fertilizer:
•Alfala Meal
-best use as soil conditioner
prior to planting crops.
•Cottonseed Meal
-useful for conditioning gardens.
•Corn Gluten Meal
-soil stabilizer
•Rock Phosphate
-contain large amounts of
phosphate as well as other
essential nutrients.
9. •Cow Manure
-help to make an excellent compost
addition
•Chicken or Poultry Manure
-best use is after harvesting crops or
before you begin another gardening
cycle.
•Earthworm Castings
-it is considered a great addition to
flower and vegetable gardens.
•Greensand
-it is a high calcium fertilizer also
contains iron and potassium
•Compost
-should be added before or after
planting as a soil refresher in between
growing seasons for gardens that are
constantly in use.
10. Soybean Meal
-fairly useful as a long term soil
conditioner.
•Blood Meal
-best to apply before planting
anything to your garden
•Feather Meal
-use it prior to make planting in
order to give the soil a nutrient
boost.
•Bat Guano
-most effective when used as a
foliar spray or a compost tea, it
can be also applied between
crop plantings and as a soil
refresher.
11. •Fish Meal
-it is a fairly fast-acting
fertilizer, good for corn crops.
•Seaweed
-it is highly beneficial to grain
crops as well as those that
need high levels of potassium.
Now these are the advantages of organic
fertilizer.
•Organic fertilizers are natural, in that the
nutrients they possess are strictly
comprised of plant- or animal-based
materials. Either byproducts or end
products of natural processes. Cow
manure, decaying leaves, and food
compost are all forms of organic fertilizer.
12. •Organic fertilizers are an environmentally
sound investment in your soil and plant’s
future. They are created from the
byproducts or end products of naturally
occurring processes, which means they
come directly from nature itself. Even
though they take longer to work, and the
exact ratio of nutrients is indeterminable,
organic fertilizers provide a healthy food
source for your plants and protect your
little part of the environment
•Organic fertilizer release nutrients, as they
break down, improving the soil and its
ability to hold water and nutrients. Given
time, they make the soil and plants
healthier and hardier. Organic fertilizers
carry little risk of a toxic overdose of
chemicals, but they require a breakdown of
microorganisms to release nutrients,
limiting their seasonal effectiveness and
potentially increasing the amount of time
they take to feed your plants.
13. •Organic fertilizers improve garden soil
where they are used. They not only
assist with water retention, they also
make the soil lighter so that more air is
available to the plant roots. Organic
fertilizers don’t waste nutrients like
their chemical counterparts. Nor are
they likely to create a build-up of salts
that could dampen plant growth. These
types of fertilizers even tend to be less
likely to burn tender plant roots than
synthetic products.
Ok, now what is the importance
of organic fertilizer?
It improves soil structure because of the organic
matter present in organic fertilizer, as a result the
soil's ability to hold onto water and nutrients
increases.
Yeah that's good.
If you want healthier plants, a healthier you,
and a healthier environment, organic is your
best bet.
14. C. Enhancement Activities
Okay class, since I already
discussed to you the concept
about the organic fertilizer, I
will show you a short video
presentation on how organic
fertilizers were made out of
dried manures, and compost.
You should take down notes
the step by step process.
Is that clear with you, class?
After that, we will have our
field/laboratory activity which you
will group by 4 (your groupings will
be announce after you watch the
video)
Yes ma’am/sir.
15. D. Generalization
I know you’ve learn a lot from today’s
discussion especially in our
laboratory, who can summarize or
discuss the proper way of making an
organic fertilizer, specifically what
type of organic fertilizer that you
work?
Additionally, what is the importance
of using organic fertilizer to the crops
instead of using synthetic fertilizer?
(call 2 students to answer and
discuss)
(Very good)
(Students will raise their hand)
16. It is important to have
knowledge about the proper
way of making and using a
fertilizer in a specific crop.
Have a nice day class! You did a
good job today!
Thank you ma’am/sir.
17. E. Valuing
Students can already justify
the difference between
organic and synthetic
fertilizer. They show the
ability to make their own
organic fertilizer at their
home. And most especially,
they can initiates to use
organic fertilizer instead of
chemical fertilizers.
18. IV.
