Dear Students, The TRA-VISIONS 2016 went through final shortlisting workshop in order to rank the top winners for this year's TRA-VISIONS 2016 academic competition. Unfortunately your idea "L1-14 - Solar Freight Ad. and Safety System" was not on the top 3. Your project ranked 30 receiving 39,50. I wish to take this opportunity and thank you for your valuable contribution to this year's TRA-VISIONS academic contest. Please note that your idea will be included in the TRA-VISIONS book that will be widely disseminated where industrial members will be able to see your project and also your names and contact details and will be able to contact you in case they want to further develop your idea and turn it into a real product. Once again thank you very much for all your efforts and trust that the whole TRA-VISIONS competition proved to be a memorable and valuable experience for you and your team. Enough has been said about the congestion in India's urban areas. We have all seen and experiencedthe exponential growth in numbers of vehicles; we have all been caught in endless traffic jams; wehave all wasted precious minutes searching for parking space. The scarcity of available space is areal and growing crisis.
Multi-level parking is the only way to go. If cities and towns wish to tackle the challenges of parking space,it's obvious they need to think 'vertical' instead of 'horizontal'.
The Project Automatic Car Parking System using 89C51 Microcontroller is an interesting project which uses 89C51 microcontroller as its brain. The project is designed for car parking. The aim of this project is to atomize the car park for allowing the cars into the park. LCD is provided to display the information about the total number of cars that can be parked and the place free for parking. Two IR Tx Rx pairs are used in this project to identify the entry or exit of the cars into out of park. These two IR TX-RX pairs are arranged either side of the gate. The TX and Rx are arranged face to face across the road so that the RX should get IR signal continuously. Whenever the mains are switched on, the LCD displays the message"parking space for 10 vehicles". The number indicates the maximum capacity of park in this project. Whenever a car comes in front of the gate, the IR signal gets disturbed and the microcontroller will open the gate by rotating the stepper motor. The gate will be closed only after the car leaves the second IR pair since the microcontroller should know whether the car left the gate or not. Now the microcontroller decrements the value of the count and displays it on LCD. In this way, the microcontroller decrements the count whenever the car leaves the park and displays it on LCD. lf the count reaches'0', i e. if the park is completely filled, the microcontroller will display"NO SPACE FOR PARKING" on LCD. And now if any vehicle tries to enter the park, the gate will not be opened since there is no space. If any vehicle leaves the park, the controller will increment the count and allows the other vehicles for parking This project uses regulated 5v. 500mA power supply. Unregulated 12v DC is used for relay. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer

On a non-Arabtec project a site worker was struck by a construction vehicle. Pedestrians on a construction site are vulnerable whenever and wherever vehicles and/or mobile plant are operating. Site visitors can also be at risk as they will not be familiar with the site or work activities. Adequate controls must be put in place to reduce the risk of injury.
Key Points:
• Vehicles and pedestrians must be segregated, where possible, and practicable.
• Reversing of vehicles should be avoided or minimized through logistics planning.
• Traffic routes, laydown areas and bus drop off/pick up points must be clearly defined, and updated on the Logistics Plan.
• Visitors must be adequately briefed and controlled when entering the site.
Recommendations:
• Identify where vehicles and pedestrians interact and provide clearly defined and segregated routes for pedestrians.
• Control access to the site by using a single point of entry through a security gate.
• Segregation should commence at the entrance to the site and continue for all routes throughout the Project.
• Traffic routes should be established as ‘one way’ systems, where possible.
• Dedicated bus drop-off and pick-up points should be provided along with safe waiting areas for visiting drivers during vehicle loading and unloading.
• Visitors must be accompanied at all times unless inducted and familiar with the site hazards.
• “Pedestrian Crossing” across site roads between segregated walkways must be manned with a flagman.
• Water type barriers should be filled with water to prevent movement by others or if struck by vehicle.

The University of Leeds Driving Simulator (UoLDS) continues to be one of the most technically advanced driving simulators in use within a research environment in the world today, exploiting leading-edge motion base technology to create
a high fidelity and dynamic simulated driving environment.
The simulator is developed and managed by a multidisciplinary group of academics from the Safety and Technology group at The Institute for Transport Studies. Using funding from UK and European government grants and private organisations, the group studies the interaction of drivers with new technologies, typically before they are fully implemented on roads and in the vehicle.
The team has over 20 years’ experience developing cutting-edge, innovative
scenarios suited to the needs of its funders. Realistic and repeatable scenarios allow studies on driver behaviour to be conducted in a safe and controllable environment,
substantially reducing the costs associated with the development of real systems, infrastructures or prototypes.
Results from studies conducted on UoLDS have had substantial influence on National and International policy.
For example, research on the simulator
has shaped the understanding of how driver distraction affects road safety, providing guidelines for the implementation of speed advisory systems.

This Design Charter for E-buses has been designed to promote buses as a mode of transportation in their own right. The guidelines focus not only on the traveller but also on operators, rolling stock manufacturers and cities. Together, they form the ecosystem of the ‘bus of tomorrow’. Design principles are illustrated by conceptual sketches, which should not be viewed as final design specifications. Manufacturers will be able to interpret and adapt these principles according to their own design culture and processes.

Search Engine Marketing - Competitor and Keyword researchETMARK ACADEMY
Over 2 Trillion searches are made per day in Google search, which means there are more than 2 Trillion visits happening across the websites of the world wide web.
People search various questions, phrases or words. But some words and phrases are searched
more often than others.
For example, the words, ‘running shoes’ are searched more often than ‘best road running
shoes for men’
These words or phrases which people use to search on Google are called Keywords.
Some keywords are searched more often than others. Number of times a keyword is searched
for in a month is called keyword volume.
Some keywords have more relevant results than others. For the phrase “running shoes” we
get more than 80M relevant results, whereas for “best road running shoes for men” we get
only 8.
The former keyword ‘running shoes’ has way more competition from popular websites to
new and small blogs, whereas the latter keyword doesn’t have that much competition. This
search competition for a keyword is called search difficulty of a keyword or keyword
difficulty.
In other words, if the keyword difficulty is ‘low’ or ‘easy’, there won’t be any competition
and if you target such keywords on your site, you can easily rank on the front page of Google.
Some keywords are searched for, just to know or to learn some information about something,
that’s their search intention. For example, “What shoe size should I choose?” or “How to pick
the right shoe size?”
These keywords which are searched just to know about stuff are called informational
keywords. Typically people who are searching this type of keywords are top of a Conversion
funnel.
Conversion funnel is the journey that search visitors go through on their way to an email
subscription or a premium subscription to the services you offer or a purchase of products
you sell or recommend using your referral link.
For some buyers, research is the most important part when they have to buy a product.
Depending on that, their journey either widens or narrows down. These types of buyers are
Researchers and they spend more time with informational keywords.
Conversion is the action you want from your search visitors. Number of conversions that you
get for every 100 search visitors is called Conversion rate.
People who are at different stages of a conversion funnel use different types of keywords.
