Editor's Notes

  • #2 Nonprofits are using social media such as blogs more frequently than ever before , but available technology has not yet met the organizing needs of the community. Blogs are an excellent soapbox for one individual to engage many readers, but SNS are better suited to communities with many lines of communication. Many organizers and nonprofits believe individuals can be inspired by their peers, so fostering decentralized peer to peer dialogue is important. Staying connected to one ’s network is essential for accomplishing goals, and using online tools is among the more efficient and flexible ways to do so.
