What is Flipgrid?
Flipgrid is simple tool
teachers can use to create
grids of short discussion-
style questions that
students respond to
through recorded videos.

Grids
A Grid is where your students go
to view your topics, record their
responses, and reply to their
classmates.

• They can be locked or
opened.
• They can be embedded
into a website or LMS.
Topics
Topics spark ideas and fuel
conversations.
Add a new topic for:
• a specific subject area
• an upcoming project
• weekly readings
• current events
• reflection questions

Students respond with
video recordings from
their laptop, iOS, or
Android device.

2. Click on New Grid
3. Name your Grid (for example, Ms. Benner’s Classes)
4. Set the Security and Privacy, Features, and select a Grid Cover
5. Click Create Grid
6. Click Create a New Topic
7. Name your Topic (for example, Class Introductions)
8. Set Topic Details and Features
9. Click Create Topic
