A true story of how some people are living more happily ever after. One person built a home of sticks and stones, another of tin, another of cardboard and when the winds and rains came they did not stand.
Cloudy with a chance of Cookies and Candiesvasudhah
In the town of Toy tower, each day of the week brought a different weather event that rained or snowed various candies and cookies. The parents became concerned that the frequent candy storms were spoiling the children, so they agreed to limit the kids to 5 candies and cookies per week with the rest being sent to other countries.

Dennis tells his mother he knows her secret after learning at school that adults have dark secrets. His mother gives him $20 to keep quiet. Dennis then tells his father the same, and receives $40. The next day, when Dennis tells the mailman this, the mailman drops the mail, opens his arms, and says "Then come give your real father a hug." This reveals the mailman is actually Dennis's biological father.

This document discusses expressing intentions through asking and telling others about plans, using examples from holiday activities. It notes the social function is developing interaction, and provides an example dialogue where one person shares their intention to spend their school holiday visiting beaches, a small nearby island by boat, and a forest with a waterfall on Belitung island, using vocabulary like "would like" and "going to" to express their plans. The example covers an opening exchange about intentions, and closes the interaction.

This document provides a summary of a volunteer trip to Guatemala with Habitat for Humanity. It describes building homes for families in need, as their current homes were often made of dirt and at risk of collapsing. The volunteers laid foundations, worked on walls, and began roofing over the course of the trip. They formed friendships with both children who received donated socks, and the family they helped by constructing a stronger, more secure home.

Causes Supporting Charity for Elderly PeopleSERUDS INDIA
Around 52% of the elder populations in India are living in poverty and poor health problems. In this technological world, they became very backward without having any knowledge about technology. So they’re dependent on working hard for their daily earnings, they’re physically very weak. Thus charity organizations are made to help and raise them and also to give them hope to live.

Good morning and welcome back to Energy Source, coming to you from New York, where the city swelters in its first heatwave of the season.
Nearly 80 million people were under alerts in the US north-east and midwest yesterday as temperatures in some municipalities reached record highs in a test to the country’s rickety power grid.
In other news, the Financial Times has a new Big Read this morning on Russia’s grip on nuclear power. Despite sanctions on its economy, the Kremlin continues to be an unrivalled exporter of nuclear power plants, building more than half of all reactors under construction globally. Read how Moscow is using these projects to wield global influence.
Today’s Energy Source dives into the latest Statistical Review of World Energy, the industry’s annual stocktake of global energy consumption. The report was published for more than 70 years by BP before it was passed over to the Energy Institute last year. The oil major remains a contributor.
Data Drill looks at a new analysis from the World Bank showing gas flaring is at a four-year high.

New report offers sobering view of the energy transition
Every year the Statistical Review of World Energy offers a behemoth of data on the state of the global energy market. This year’s findings highlight the world’s insatiable demand for energy and the need to speed up the pace of decarbonisation.
Here are our four main takeaways from this year’s report:
Fossil fuel consumption — and emissions — are at record highs
Countries burnt record amounts of oil and coal last year, sending global fossil fuel consumption and emissions to all-time highs, the Energy Institute reported. Oil demand grew 2.6 per cent, surpassing 100mn barrels per day for the first time.
Meanwhile, the share of fossil fuels in the energy mix declined slightly by half a percentage point, but still made up more than 81 per cent of consumption.
1. Once Upon a Time
In the Dominican
Republic
A modern fairy tale
By Louise ZoBell
2. Once on the far-away island of
Dominican Republic lived several people
who left their parents’ homes to make
their own way in life.
Many made
their home of
sticks and stones
3. And the rains came down and the
floods came up and the houses
did not stand.
4. Others made their house of wood and
when the wood was eaten by termites,
they had to replace it with cardboard,
because they had no money to buy
other materials.
5. Others built their homes of tin
because that is all that they had.
Inside, the heat was unbearable
and when it rained, the tin rusted
and soon there were holes
throughout.
6. So many endured their lot year after
year, hoping in their hearts that
someday they would have help.
7. Then along came
Dominican Starfish Foundation. This
group finds amazing people who want
to help others and together work to
make a difference.
One by one people
started getting
beautiful new
homes.
8. And the rains came down and the
floods came up and the people in
the homes stayed dry.
9. And every day the people who
started the foundation thank the
Lord for being able to help and
thank the kind people who make it
possible.
And many are living more happily ever after.
