The document discusses measurements of octave wave sound signals in a ducted axial fan under stall conditions. Experiments were conducted to measure sound pressure levels in the frequency range of 11 Hz to 11100 Hz at different rotor speeds from 2400 to 3600 rpm with the throttle position fixed at 4 cm. Graphs of the results show that sound pressure levels increased with rotor speed and were highest in the stall region, reaching up to 115 dB. The document aims to analyze sound characteristics in a ducted axial fan under stall conditions using sound spectrum analysis to better understand fan instability phenomena like rotating stall and surge.

Brimmed diffuser is collectionacceleration device which shrouds a wind turbine. For a given turbine di ameter, the power augmentation can be achieved by brimmed diffuser,p opularly known as wind lens. The present numerical investigation deals with the effect of low pressure region created by wind l ens and hence to analyze the strong vortices formed by a brim attached to the shroud diffuser at exit. Also in this analysis,a c omparative numerical prediction of mass flow rates through the wind turbine has been carried out with various types of wind lens wh ich in turn helps to optimize the torque augmentati on. It has been numerically proved that there is significant increase in the wa ke formation & vortex strength when brimming effect is added to a diffuser

In this paper voltage sag of the power quality issue is studied. Voltage sag due to power system fault, three - phase - to - ground is created in distribution line model, their effect on the voltage magnitude variat ion by varying fault resistance for each phase are examined. A simple and practical method is proposed for voltage sag detection,by calculating RMS voltage over a window for particular time period. The case study contains a single - machine including distri bution line, which is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment. The presented simulation results validate sag, decrease of voltage magnitude for decrease in the fault resistance for three - phase - to - ground fault.

Effect o f boundary layer and rotor speed on broadband noise from horizontal ...vasishta bhargava
In this paper, the effect of rotor speed and boundary layer on the broadband noise from wind turbines are discussed. The results from the computations have been validated using the far field acoustic measurements from a similar sized turbine
In this paper microstrip patch antenna is designed for 2.4GHz frequency. For the antenna miniaturization and bandwidth improvement H-shaped DGS on microstrip patch antenna (MSA) is used. The design of DGS has been analyzed for different dimensions of H-slot and achieved optimized dimensions. The simulation process has been done through Finite Element Machine (FEM) based software High Frequency Structure Simulator ( HFSS) software. The properties of antenna such as reflection co-efficient, bandwidth and gain are determined and compared with the properties of single element square patch antenna.Further proposed antennas performance is studied for different size of defect on the same patch antenna. Proposed antenna finds its application in wireless LAN protocols such as Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11 and in 2.4GHz ISM Band.

Folded Shorted Patch Antenna with Slots for RF Energy Harvesting in Wireless ...ijtsrd
There are various types of microstrip antenna that can be used for many applications in communication systems. This paper presents the design of a folded shorted patch antenna FSPA for the application of Radio Frequency RF energy harvesting system capable of receiving radio frequency of GSM 900 band 860MHz to 960MHz . The antenna is designed using microstrip technology on an FR 4 substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4 and a thickness of 1.6. The antenna was designed and simulated using FEKO, the Electromagnetic solver software. One slot is incorporated into the upper patch of the FSPA. Simulated results show that this antenna can attain an impedance bandwidth of 32MHz from 884MHz to 916MHz at the center frequency of 900MHz with the slot. The results also reveal the good unidirectional radiation pattern and the stable gain over the operating frequency. This antenna is well compatible with using RF energy harvesting to receive the signal of the GSM 900 band. Diffusers are extensively used in centrifugal
compressors, axial flow compressors, ram jets, combustion
chambers, inlet portions of jet engines and etc. A small change in
pressure recovery can increases the efficiency significantly.
Therefore diffusers are absolutely essential for good turbo
machinery performance. The geometric limitations in aircraft
applications where the diffusers need to be specially designed so
as to achieve maximum pressure recovery and avoiding flow
separation.
The study behind the investigation of flow separation in a planar
diffuser by varying the diffuser taper angle for axisymmetric
expansion. Numerical solution of 2D axisymmetric diffuser model
is validated for skin friction coefficient and pressure coefficient
along upper and bottom wall surfaces with the experimental
results of planar diffuser predicted by Vance Dippold and
Nicholas J. Georgiadis in NASA research center [2]
.
Further the diffuser taper angle is varied for other different
angles and results shows the effect of flow separation were it is
reduces i.e., for what angle and at which angle it is just avoided.

Tech transfer making it as a risk free approach in pharmaceutical and biotech iniaemedu
Tech transfer is a common methodology for transferring new products or an existing
commercial product to R&D or to another manufacturing site. Transferring product knowledge to the
manufacturing floor is crucial and it is an ongoing approach in the pharmaceutical and biotech
industry. Without adopting this process, no company can manufacture its niche products, let alone
market them. Technology transfer is a complicated, process because it is highly cross functional. Due
to its cross functional dependence, these projects face numerous risks and failure. If anidea cannot be
successfully brought out in the form of a product, there is no customer benefit, or satisfaction.
Moreover, high emphasis is in sustaining manufacturing with highest quality each and every time. It
is vital that tech transfer projects need to be executed flawlessly. To accomplish this goal, risk
management is crucial and project team needs to use the risk management approach seamlessly.
