PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2007 to 2015 - SOS Retail Services, Franklin, TN - Field Project Manager
Continued management of new installations and remodels in a variety of retail and
commercial locations. Clients included Wal-Mart, Target, 7-11, Pier 1 Imports and Bank of
America. I was a key member in starting, organizing and streamlining all of Pier 1 Imports
remodels and new store fixture installations, working directly with corporate and store
managers.
2004 to 2006 - Integrated Store Solutions, Franklin, TN - Project Manager
Worked with other team members on new installations and remodels in major retail outlets
throughout the U.S. and Canada. Clients included Home Depot, Target, Cycle Gear, Costco
and Build-A-Bear Workshop. In 2006 I was the Supervising Project Manager for Build-A-Bear
Workshop, responsible for submitting and monitoring budgets, procuring and organizing
work schedules for three traveling crews, and coordinating all these duties with Build-A-Bear
corporate management personnel.
2000 to 2004 - KMart Corporation
April 2003 to 2006--Merchandise Manager, Wayne NJ:
Directly responsible for managing and implementing corporate merchandising and
operational programs, communicating with the store manager, district manager and regional
merchandise director on specific store needs and performance in merchandise categories
throughout the entire store. I was also responsible for training and directing the store
management team regarding stocking, pricing, inventory control, receiving operations and
overnight replenishment to maintain unit and pricing integrity and an in stock position to
maximize sales and profitability.
July 2002 to April 2003--Assistant Hardline Manager, Middletown, NY:
Primary duties consisted of supervising and directing Hardline department leads in the
sporting goods, automotive, hardware, toys, electronics and photo departments of the store.
This included merchandising and maintaining each department, scheduling and executing
resets of specific department categories, scheduling primary and support personnel for each
department and inventory control of and ordering replenishment merchandise.
December 2001 to July 2002– Overnight Replenishment Manager, Middletown,NY
Supervised the merchandise replenishment team and solely managed the overnight
operations of a full service twenty-four hour Super Kmart store. This included scheduling and
managing the overnight team, monitoring point-of-sale operations and personnel, assessed
and resolved customer concerns and merchandising issues, and maintained overall store
appearance and equipment.
March 2001 to December 2001– Project Coordinator: Design and Construction
Division
This corporate management position placed me in twenty to thirty stores throughout the year
for merchandise resets or refurbishment of existing stores and their merchandise display
fixtures. I was responsible for organizing and managing store teams and temp personnel to
2. reset entire departments according to corporate directives. Refurbishment duties were
comprised of hiring and monitoring sub-contractors, ordering and accounting for parts and
supplies and resetting merchandise when construction was complete.
February 2000 to November 2000– Special Events Coordinator
As one of a three-member team I was responsible for coordinating and executing thirty-six
consecutive weekly events nationwide. Duties included expediting communications between
management and in-store employees, identifying problems and executing corrective action,
negotiating and forecasting weekly and monthly budgets, and compiling monthly data reports
from each event. Because of my past experience with industrial communications I was also
assigned to publicize and expedite media coverage of the events on national and local levels
and appear in media interviews for print, radio and television.
1997 to 1999- The Belfry Teen Center, Sewickley, PA: Executive Director
Since this was a new facility for high school teens, my initial responsibilities consisted of
planning and organizing the center’s utilization, designing the layout of interior space,
conceptualizing potential activities and compiling a student board of directors. I was
accountable for daily activities, scheduling and monitoring student board meetings,
conceiving, planning and executing special events and assisting the executive board with
fund raising, budgeting and publicity. In addition I was solely charged with organizing,
maintaining, managing and scheduling staff for the in-house snack bar.
1983 to 1997- Independent Contractor Film and Video Production, Pittsburgh,PA
Ÿ Producer/Assistant Director: Laurence Adam Oswald Films, Sewickley, PA
My education provided a solid base to produce commercial and industrial film projects for
local and national accounts. I assisted in developing production budgets, procuring
resources comprised of equipment, personnel and supplies and scheduling post-production
activities. As assistant director I also managed production operations and staff during filming
and provided creative input to the director/cinematographer, While I was producer, the
company received many CLIO awards for excellence in commercial film production.

Although initially employed as a technician, my experience and ability to react quickly under a
myriad of situations soon earned me additional responsibilities. I was in charge of monitoring
audio and video quality during real-life video productions, accessing situations and
recommending shots relevant to production goals, organizing and executing casting sessions
for commercial and industrial shoots and assisting the producer with scheduling and
managing resources for productions throughout the United States. Our programs were
recognized with several awards for excellence in documentary video production.

state and national clients. My proprietary duties for projects I secured included producing,
writing, directing and filming of commercial, industrial and documentary projects.
EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science, Business Administration with a major in Industrial Communications and
a Computer Sciences minor. Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Robert Morris University,
Pittsburgh, Pa, 1983. Charter member Alpha Tau Sigma Honor Society. I have some
understanding of French, Spanish, German and American Sign Language. Experienced and
