Volunteering is a very rewarding experience and it’s important to give back to the community. It can be hard at times to find room in one’s schedule to volunteer but it’s important to make the effort. While friends and coworkers go off on expensive vacations this summer, consider taking the time to volunteer and help a cause in or outside of the community

Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

Up the Ratios Bylaws - a Comprehensive Process of Our Organizationuptheratios
Up the Ratios is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap in STEM education for underprivileged students by providing free, high-quality learning opportunities in robotics and other STEM fields. Our mission is to empower the next generation of innovators, thinkers, and problem-solvers by offering a range of educational programs that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
At Up the Ratios, we believe that every student, regardless of their socio-economic background, should have access to the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in today's technology-driven world. To achieve this, we host a variety of free classes, workshops, summer camps, and live lectures tailored to students from underserved communities. Our programs are designed to be engaging and hands-on, allowing students to explore the exciting world of robotics and STEM through practical, real-world applications.
Our free classes cover fundamental concepts in robotics, coding, and engineering, providing students with a strong foundation in these critical areas. Through our interactive workshops, students can dive deeper into specific topics, working on projects that challenge them to apply what they've learned and think creatively. Our summer camps offer an immersive experience where students can collaborate on larger projects, develop their teamwork skills, and gain confidence in their abilities.
In addition to our local programs, Up the Ratios is committed to making a global impact. We take donations of new and gently used robotics parts, which we then distribute to students and educational institutions in other countries. These donations help ensure that young learners worldwide have the resources they need to explore and excel in STEM fields. By supporting education in this way, we aim to nurture a global community of future leaders and innovators.
Our live lectures feature guest speakers from various STEM disciplines, including engineers, scientists, and industry professionals who share their knowledge and experiences with our students. These lectures provide valuable insights into potential career paths and inspire students to pursue their passions in STEM.
Up the Ratios relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to continue our work. Contributions of time, expertise, and financial support are crucial to sustaining our programs and expanding our reach. Whether you're an individual passionate about education, a professional in the STEM field, or a company looking to give back to the community, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.
We are proud of the positive impact we've had on the lives of countless students, many of whom have gone on to pursue higher education and careers in STEM. By providing these young minds with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed, we are not only changing their futures but also contributing to the advancement of technology and innovation on a broader scale.

Now Foundation – Help and Donate to Needy Children
1.
2. The NOW Foundation was created out of a deep passion and love for people. When we are
removed from complete poverty we don’t realize just how bad it actually is. In Africa,
children die every day from water diseases. But it shouldn’t be the case.
we can do something. And we will. NOW.
Initially the NOW Foundation was set up to raise awareness and help African villages
discover clean water and basic tools for farming, but it has since flourished into a way to
help not only the villages, but also other poverty stricken people in as many places as we
can afford.
We are a new UK Charity Organisation that is dedicated to providing life-saving intervention
to some of the poorest communities in Africa, Asia, and worldwide. We are committed to
improving the well-being of disadvantaged adults and children through the provision of
emergency water aid, sustainable water solutions, and food given through agricultural
programs.
3.
4. A world in which every human being has access to
safe, clean water and no fear of dying from hunger.
Our mission is to work in some on the poorest
communities in the third-world to provide access to
safe, clean water. We provide emergency water aid to
disaster stricken areas, as well as long-term sustainable
solutions for water access with the overall aim of
improving The lives of communities we work in.
Please join us on our mission to save lives.
5. Each year, approximately 840,000 people die from diseases
contracted from drinking unsafe water. The most vulnerable
people in society are also the most likely to suffer with young
children most at risk, because their bodies aren’t strong
enough to fight water-borne diseases such as diarrhoea and
dysentery.
In the third-world, on average, people spend 40 billion hours
every year walking in search of water to drink. Those who
bear the greatest burden of collecting water are usually
women and children. These journeys for dangerous water
are often long and treacherous and frequently mean that
children not only miss school, but are left vulnerable to
abuse and sexual assault when they are unsupervised.
6. The immediate cause of the devastating food storage in the third-world affecting
tens of millions of people is prolonged drought and communities destroyed by
decades conflict. A lack of water is not only problematic for essential hydration and
survival, but also for basic agricultural, industrial and household activities. A steady
supply of safe water can dramatically improve the quality of life for millions of
people and their communities.
7. Become a part of NOW Foundation, create your own campaign to fundraise for us.
Volunteer
Volunteering with NOW can be a rewarding and life-changing experience. We welcome
volunteers from a range of backgrounds and experience to take part in a wide range of
local and international projects throughout the year.
International Opportunities
Throughout the year, we send life-changing volunteer teams to areas throughout
Africa and Asia. As a member of the International Volunteer team, you’ll have the
opportunity to learn valuable humanitarian aid skills and work directly with
communities.
8. Local Opportunities
Volunteering at one of our many UK events on a regular basis, or just whenever you have
the time, can have an incredible impact on the lives of the people we help. We are always
in need of friendly and compassionate volunteers to help us with a range of activities at
our events, ranging from fundraising to marketing; we guarantee there’s something for
everyone to do.
