Cleveland Elementary students went on a field trip to St. Clair County Community College for their Clay and a Concert program. The students spent the morning working with professional artists to create clay tiles that will be part of a mosaic for permanent downtown display. After lunch, the students enjoyed a live performance by the Lexington Bach Quartet.

The most popular school events for teenagers are Teacher's Day, Prom Night, and the New Year Party, as these allow students to socialize with teachers and each other and have fun.

Beginning in January we will be uploading newsletters and calendars and NOT sending them via email. We have student pictures this month, our Thanksgiving Feast, and we will start to work on our holiday songs for our program next month. I hope your November is great! - 2. From the KELC Teachers: Saying “no” strengthens character. It is a shield against manipulation, and it can educate other people about you. ~ Conscious Discipline ~ Pictures from the last Month: We are so thankful for all that we have here at Kendal! This month we have our Thanksgiving Feast where the children help us to make the food items on the menu. November and December are very busy, yet it is one of our most favorite times with the children. Our discussion in the classroom will be around thanksgiving and what it means to be “thankful”. Another thing we are thankful for is Valerie Albenze will also be joining our teaching team this month! Valerie will be opening and will serve as a Lead Teacher along with Mary Balduff. We are excited to have her on our team and we know you will be as well. During this month we will be finishing our fall assessments and setting times and dates to meet with you in December to review the progress we have seen with your child since September. We will also be sending home a pre- conference sheet for you to complete after Thanksgiving.
