2. November the 11th is the national
independence day in Poland.
That day people
celebrate the
anniversary of
restoration of
the Polish state
after 123 years of
captivity
3. In 1918, on that day, the general Jozef Pilsudski
took control of Poland. Before that event, Poland
was under control of the Russian empire, the
Kingdom of Prussia and the Habsburg empire.

4. Nowadays, it is a non-working
day and it is a very
important holiday for Polish
people. They organise
parades, concerts, and the
President always gives a
speech.
