This document provides instructions for creating a works cited page and taking notes from research sources for a paper. It explains that a works cited page is an alphabetized list of all sources cited in a paper and includes examples of citations for different source types like books, websites, and encyclopedias. It also gives guidance on creating note cards for different source types that include bibliographic information on the front and bullet pointed quotes and key details from the source on the back. A works cited page lists works in alphabetical order. Alphabetical order is based primarily on the title of the work. Every citation should include the year the work was published.

14. What is an Annotated Bibliography? A bibliography is a list of sources (books, web sites, periodicals, etc) one uses for researching a topic An annotation is a summary/evaluation Thus an annotated bibliography includes a summary/evaluation of each source that you research for your project

16. Paraphrasing Take someone’s words and rephrase into your own words. IF you do not paraphrase correctly, you are plagiarizing. Change all of the words. Change the word order. YOU MUST STILL CITE THE SOURCE. Even though you have changed the information into your own words, it is still another person’s IDEA and you MUST give them credit.
