1) The document outlines a Bible study on Romans 1:1-17 about the Gospel being the power of God for salvation.
2) Key points about the Gospel are that it was promised by God through prophets, is about Jesus who is the Son of God and resurrected, and brings salvation through faith for all.
3) Paul was not ashamed of the Gospel and felt obligated to preach it eagerly to both Jews and Gentiles. Believers should have the same attitude toward sharing the Gospel.
Believer's assurance of salvation based on their hope on Christ who is coming again. In addition His return is motivation for their sanctification and purification.
People need to hear the essential elements of the Gospel in order to be saved. They will not be saved by hearing your testimony but by the truth of the Gospel. Declare the complete message of redemption for forgiveness and eternal life thru Jesus.
Why young people leave the church, Christ is the head/body of the church, Ch...franktsao4
Today we are going to talk about a very basic question, what is a church, and how can we see as being in a church? When we drive on the street, we often see church buildings one after another in the city. But is this the church mentioned in the Bible? What else should be in the church? We often see young people no longer go to church after they leave their parents. Parents often worry about their spiritual condition and whether they believe in Jesus Christ can be passed on. We will discuss this issue from the perspective of the Bible.
We have essentially told him that Jesus would give him all the things that would enhance his life. Then when persecution and tribulation comes, he falls away. When life gets hard, he becomes bitter, casting off the Savior and consequently resenting those that had told him the “good news”.

The second study in our "Growing Deep in the Gospel" series in which we answered the question, "What is the Gospel?" In answering the question we looked at how the word "gospel" was used in Jesus' day and how the Bible describes the gospel. We also looked at what is the heart of the gospel, a outline of the basic gospel message and an outline of the gospel based on the entire Bible.
Here are the notes from my sermon on July 8, 2018. We looked at why we should make Jesus known and how we can do that. In the last part of the sermon, I focused on how we can share our testimony.

Predestination is one of the most widely taught doctrines in Calvinism. The biblical understanding of this passage reveals a much deeper underlying principle and a richer store of information than can be imagined.
God want's to do great things for us. A scripture based study into predestination reveals that God wants to glorify us. Allow the scriptures to open the pathway that God desires to bring us on.

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
5. Romans 1:1-17 (NIV)
1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus,
called to be an apostle and set
apart for the gospel of God--
2 the gospel he promised
beforehand through his prophets in
the Holy Scriptures
3 regarding his Son, who as to his
human nature was a descendant of
David,
6. 4 and who through the Spirit of
holiness was declared with power to
be the Son of God by his resurrection
from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.
5 Through him and for his name's
sake, we received grace and
apostleship to call people from among
all the Gentiles to the obedience that
comes from faith.
6 And you also are among those who
are called to belong to Jesus Christ.
7. 7 To all in Rome who are loved by
God and called to be saints: Grace
and peace to you from God our
Father and from the Lord Jesus
Christ.
8 First, I thank my God through
Jesus Christ for all of you, because
your faith is being reported all over
the world.
8. 9 God, whom I serve with my
whole heart in preaching the gospel
of his Son, is my witness how
constantly I remember you
10 in my prayers at all times; and I
pray that now at last by God's will
the way may be opened for me to
come to you.
9. 11 I long to see you so that I may
impart to you some spiritual gift to
make you strong--
12 that is, that you and I may be
mutually encouraged by each other's
faith.
13 I do not want you to be unaware,
brothers, that I planned many times to
come to you (but have been prevented
from doing so until now) in order that
I might have a harvest among you,
just as I have had among the other
Gentiles.
10. 14 I am obligated both to Greeks
and non-Greeks, both to the wise
and the foolish.
15 That is why I am so eager to
preach the gospel also to you who
are at Rome.
11. 16 I am not ashamed of the gospel,
because it is the power of God for
the salvation of everyone who
believes: first for the Jew, then for
the Gentile.
17 For in the gospel a
righteousness from God is revealed,
a righteousness that is by faith
from first to last, just as it is
written: "The righteous will live by
faith."
15. What can we learn about God?
God promised the Gospel beforehand
through his prophets in
the Holy Scripture. (1:2)
Humanly-speaking, Jesus was
a descendant of David. (1:3)
Jesus is the Son of God (1:4)
He resurrected from the dead (1:4)
Jesus Christ is our Lord (1:4)
16. What can we learn about God?
The Roman believers are loved
by God and called to be
his holy people. (1:7)
God is our Father (1:7)
God is able to save (1:16)
The righteousness of God is
revealed through the Gospel
and it is obtained by faith. (1:17)
17. Lessons regarding the Gospel
(Romans 1-5)
It was planned and foretold by God
through his prophets
– not a random plan. (1:2)
It is about a person - our Lord Jesus
(1:3-4)
And this Jesus resurrected
from the dead (1:4)
What is the Gospel?
18. Lessons regarding the Gospel
(Romans 1-5)
It is power of God that
brings salvation to
everyone who believes
(1:16)
In the Gospel, the
righteousness of God is
revealed. A righteousness
that we received through
faith not works. (1:17)
19. A brief theology of the Gospel –
two key truths
1. No one is righteous
2. Salvation is by
God’s grace alone
in Christ alone
through faith alone.
20. Romans 3:21-25 (NLT)
21 But now God has shown us a
way to be made right with him
without keeping the requirements
of the law, as was promised in the
writings of Moses and the prophets
long ago.
22 We are made right with God by
placing our faith in Jesus Christ.
And this is true for everyone who
believes, no matter who we are.
21. 23 For everyone has sinned; we all
fall short of God’s glorious
standard.
24 Yet God, with undeserved
kindness, declares that we are
righteous. He did this through
Christ Jesus when he freed us from
the penalty for our sins.
22. 25 For God presented Jesus as
the sacrifice for sin. People are
made right with God when they
believe that Jesus sacrificed his
life, shedding his blood. This
sacrifice shows that God was
being fair when he held back and
did not punish those who sinned in
times past,
23. 26 for he was looking ahead
and including them in what he
would do in this present time.
God did this to demonstrate his
righteousness, for he himself is
fair and just, and he declares
sinners to be right in his sight
when they believe in Jesus.
24. 27 Can we boast, then, that we
have done anything to be accepted
by God? No, because our acquittal
is not based on obeying the law. It
is based on faith.
28 So we are made right with God
through faith and not by obeying
the law.
25. 29 After all, is God the God of the
Jews only? Isn’t he also the God of
the Gentiles? Of course he is.
30 There is only one God, and he
makes people right with himself
only by faith, whether they are
Jews or Gentiles.
26. What does it means to put our
faith in Jesus?
Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your
mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and
believe in your heart that God
raised him from the dead, you will
be saved.
27. Paul and the Gospel
He is not ashamed
of the Gospel (1:16)
Paul was eager to
preach the Gospel (1:15)
Paul felt obligated to
preach the Gospel (1:14)
28. Romans 1:1-17
We should not be ashamed
of the Gospel too.
Step#4 - ACT - respond
We should be eager
to share the Gospel too.
We have an obligation
to share the Gospel too.
29. 3 Keys principles from Galatians 6:7-10
•7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be
mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
•8 The one who sows to please his sinful
nature, from that nature will reap
destruction; the one who sows to please
the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap
eternal life.
30. 3 Keys principles from Galatians 6:7-10
•9 Let us not become weary in doing
good, for at the proper time we will reap
a harvest if we do not give up.
•10 Therefore, as we have opportunity,
let us do good to all people, especially
to those who belong to the family of
believers.
31. 3 key principles from Galatians 6:7-10
Principle #1
To reap you
must sow
Principle #2
Sow consistently
and persistently
Principle #3
Be opportunistic
