>> Scholarships and Grants – Many scholarships are available to grad school candidates, usually based on merit,
diversity, disability, need, service, or research.
>> Company Sponsorship – According to the Society for Human Resource Management, roughly 60% of corpo-
rations offer some form of graduate education financial assistance to help increase productivity and skill level of
their employees. Ask your employer if they provide some level of sponsorship for full- or part-time study through
employee tuition reimbursements.
>> Loans – There are a number of federal and private loans available to graduate students. To be considered for
financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
>> Research Assistantships (RA) – Inquire about research assistant positions in your program funded through ex-
ternally funded grants. RAs are involved in research activities under the direct supervision of regular faculty members.
>> Teaching Assistantships (TA) – Teaching assistantships may be available in your program. TAs assist faculty
members by serving as grading assistants, holding office hours, or in other capacities that involve direct contact with
students in supporting either undergraduate or graduate teaching.
>> PlusOne Accelerated Master’s Program – PlusOne Accelerated Master’s Program allows you to take up to a
total of 16 graduate credits during your junior and senior years and apply those credits toward both your bachelor
and master’s degrees.
