PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Business Systems Analyst
QBE North America September 2010 - Present
 Developed thorough business, functional and non-functional requirements by leading JAD sessions, and
interviews with clients from inside and outside of the company.
 Designed detailed ‘wireframes’ depicting the new design of the website and presented these to the project
stakeholders for review and approval.
 Defined current and target state diagrams of the system using Use Case Diagrams, Class Diagrams and State
Diagrams.
 Worked closely with developers, database and systems administrators on current production system changes or
upgrades.
 Projects included:
 $7M policy holder self servicing web site project. The project allows the policy holders to view detailed
information regarding their insurance policy, letters sent as well as the ability to make premium payments
online.
 Intranet site to house all common policy forms that included search capability for use by our agents. The
project included an approval process workflow for each form before being made available.
 Business Analyst and liaison between project stakeholders, developers and testing team for a $2M+ project to
implement new hazard insurance product within our main ERP system.

2.  Lead Business Analyst for the Accounting/Finance team in migrating over 30 applications (desktop, client
server, ERP, mainframe, etc.) to the new parent company network environment.
 Lead Business Analyst on a project to re-engineer and update the UI on the company’s client facing (B2C)
website, developed on a .Net platform that allows lenders to track forced placed insurance on their borrower’s
loans. Also managed the testing process of this project from unit testing to post production validation.
Business Systems Analyst
Volcom, Inc., Costa Mesa, CA October 2007 - February 2009
 Worked closely with the ERP software vendor (Full Circle – apparel software) to implement new
enhancements to the system by defining the user requirements, testing and monthly upgrades into our
production system.
 Provided daily production support to approximately 100 users.
 Created and managed the company’s change control process that did not exist prior. In this role I
worked closely with the business users, executive committee and developers to produce a quality
product.
 Functioned as the Project Manager on all enhancements to the system.
 Begun the initial define stage of enhancing the company’s eCommerce site that allowed customers to
purchase the Volcom apparel online.
 A central analyst in the large scale implementation of Manhattan Associates, Warehouse Management
System (WMS).
 Wrote functionality test plan and scripts for testing the new application. Coordinated the execution of
these test scripts and managed the entire QA process.

 Using my organizational skills, I was able to lead the conversion team through a successful retirement
of our proprietary system to our new 'parent' company's software application
 Led project team in the selection of an applicant tracking software. This included all project
management, analysis, testing, training and implementation of the product to over 200 users. Taleo
was the chosen application.
Manager, Business Analyst, IT Business Systems Dept. 2004 – 2006
 Primary function was to be the link between the user community and the IT group. The IT group
included developers, network administrators, DBA's and Help Center technicians.
 Identify and gather all requirements that are critical to the business mission through extensive design
validation sessions and one on one interview with users in a very agile environment.
 Led team in implementing SharePoint to our enterprise content management, business intelligence and
Newsfeeds.
 Developed and executed test plans for existing and newly developed applications. Verified that all
requirements were testable and generated testing objectives.
 Was responsible for production support of mission critical systems.
 Managed a team of 6 business analysts working on many different projects at the same time.
