2. Economic Researcher – Trade Policy Divion
Assignments and Duties:
• Prepare reports concerning the foreign trade of Jordan or any other country and analyzes the
data as requested and market research.
• Contribute the preparation of the Foreign Trade strategy and follow-up its implementation.
• Contribute the preparation of the Trade Policy Review of Jordan report in the World Trade
Organization framework.
• Monitor the implementation of Jordan's obligations in the WTO different areas, including
goods and services, and continue the reporting process on the emerging updates in laws,
regulations and procedures related to trade in goods and services in Jordan as well as
intellectual property rights which have an impact on international trade.
• Follow-up the updates in terms of the WTO Agreement and the updates of its committees
work, follow-up the obligations of the organization members that affect the access to its
markets and the increasing liberalization of trade in services and goods to ensure that
Jordanian exports have the preferential treatment associated with that commitment.
