Spark Calorimeter: Experimental Setup and CFD Analysis: Dr. Jeffrey D. Naber Sept 2015 – Dec 2015
 The project, sponsored by Ford Motor Co., involves the development of a basic prototype apparatus for studying the
amount of energy transferred from the spark plug to the medium.
 Worked on experimental setup of Spark Calorimeter
 Performed CFD analysis to predict flow through spark gap.
Lubrication Oil Circuit Analysisof Diesel Turbocharged Engines Aug 2011 – Jul 2012
 Optimized the pressure drop in the lubrication oil circuit by replacing 3 plate Oil cooler with 8 plate cooler.
 Analysis was performed using a 1D simulation code (AMESim) and perform dynamometer testing on engine with constant
speed varying load cycle. The simulation predicted results and the experimental results showed a good fit. The deviations
found were analyzed and reasons for deviation were apportioned.
