3. NIGHTMARE DEFINITION
●A nightmare is an unpleasant dream that can
cause a strong emotional response from the
mind, typically fear or horror but
also despair, anxiety and great sadness.
●The dream may contain situations of danger,
discomfort or psychological terror. Sufferers
often awaken in a state of distress and may be
unable to return to sleep for a prolonged period.

●Children can have nightmares, because
of their active imaginations, they can at
times have nightmares.
●Some of them could be so severe that
they can wake up screaming and crying.
●Be careful with wat they watch on the
daily TV shows.

6. Physical causes for
having nightmares:
●Sleeping in an uncomfortable position,
causing the limbs to become numb for
lack of blood circulation; the neck in such
position that you can not breath properly.
●Having a fever, the excessive temperature
could cause you to have nightmares.

having nightmares:
●Eating before going to sleep, would
increase the body's metabolism and brain
activity, which are potentials for
nightmares.
●Recurrent nightmares may require
medical help, as they can interfere with
sleeping patterns and cause insomnia.

8. Psychological causes for
having nightmares:
●Stress and anxiety.
●Past shocking traumatic experiences.
● A side effect for taking some medical
drugs.
●Been high in drugs on drunk can as well
cause you to have nightmares.

9. Spiritual causes for
having nightmares:
●Be careful what you read, watch on TV,
Movies, Internet, etc.; the images, music
and words you allow into your mind will
affect your mind.
●Some scary movies today seem to be
inspired by demons.

10. Spiritual causes for
having nightmares:
●Demons inspire some people to produce
movies, music, magazines, etc; that open
doors to demonic activation causing fear
and nightmares.

of stuff for those who mentally devour
such trash.
●Once hooked on this addictions,
deliverance an a follow up is needed so
this souls can be and stay free from this
type of spiritual dominance.

●Let’s suppose there is a person sleeping
next door that is influenced by unclean
spirits, while that person is sleeping, the
evil spirit is able to enter or exit the body
of this person at will, as we know that
spirits don’t sleep.

of their Saviour.
●There are Christians that know all the
names of demons, but they have not
spend time studying the names and
significance of the names of God.

23. How to stop nightmares
●What is important for us is to know that:
●We don’t need them,
●We don’t like them,
●We have a Powerful Helper, Who can set
us free, And help us to stay free.

24. THE HOLY SPIRIT
IS OUR HELPER!
●Christians are inspired by the Holy Spirit
to have holy thoughts.

●15 But he who is spiritual judges all things,

have the mind of Christ.

29. APPLYING THE BLOOD
OF JESUS
●The blood of Jesus is powerful and
effective in the realm of thoughts,
actions, reactions, addictions, and even
in the realm of your subconscious and
your dreams.
●You can apply the blood of Jesus
over your sleeping time.
●Declaring aloud something like this:

●“Dear Father, I plead the precious blood
of Jesus upon my spirit soul and body as
I’m ready to sleep. Protect me from any
nightmares this night. Send your holy
angels to watch over me.
●Put in me your dreams, reveal to me your
plans and guard my mind.
●In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

31. ASK FOR A GOOD SLEEP TIME
●Believe it and receive it.
●God wants you to experience a great
night’s sleep!
●He will give you interactive dreams with
Him, so you can not only see Him, but
listen to Him and he will listen to you; feel
Him and have revelation of the dreams
God wants to communicate to you.

32. SETTING UP THE
ATMOSPHERE
●You need to set up your peaceful night’s
rest.
●Your active participation on rejecting and
saying “No” to those things that are not
from God will ensure you a peaceful
resting night
●The minute we stop saying “No” to those
things, we could be surprised having
some troubled dreams.

●Memorizing Scripture passages and
declaring them is another excellent way
to keep your mind and heart filled with
good thoughts.
●There is much power in the Word of God
to defeat temptations, demons and
nightmares

worship sounds.
●You could set your stereo system in your
room with some worship song before
going to sleep, that will fill the atmosphere
with peace, and cause your spirit to
connect with the Holy Spirit.
●Don't use earphones for this purpose.

37. Look for help
●In some cases the person having
nightmares should ask for spiritual
counseling and ministry, some
generational stuff could be lingering
around.
●If needed be, don’t be embarrassed of
going for medical help. Only God can
select the way how He wants to set you
free.

38. Tips for a good sleep
●Don’t keep your TV set in your bedroom.
●Don’t use your smart phone at least 30
minutes before going to sleep, it’s blue
light will cause you trouble sleeping.
●If you take medicines, look for side
effects.
●Don’t go to bed with your anger.
●Put worries and stress away.
