The document provides information about ambassadors from several sources including dictionaries and examples. It defines an ambassador as an official envoy, especially a high-ranking diplomat, sent by a country to represent them in another country. Joseph Grew and Kichisaburō Nomura are discussed as the ambassadors of the US and Japan respectively who worked to prevent war between the two countries before the attack on Pearl Harbor. The document also discusses how Christians can take on the role of ambassadors for Christ by knowing God's message, having wise and persuasive communication, and living virtuous lives that represent the kingdom of heaven.
Make Me A Servant
Make me a servant Lord, make me like you
For you are a servant, make me one, too.
Make me a servant, do what you must do
To make me a servant, make me like you.
To love my brother, to serve like you do.
I humble my spirit, I bow before yo.
And through my service, I'll be just like you.
So make me a servant, make me like you.
Open my hands Lord and teach me to share
Open my heart Lord and teach me to care,
For service to others is service to you.
Make me a servant, make me like you.
Trust in the LORD with ALL Your Hear | Proverbs 3:5-6; 1:7, 21:2 Bible StudyDanny Scotton, Jr.
The fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge and wisdom. We must acknowledge that we creatures lack the knowledge and wisdom of the Creator. Thus, it only makes sense to follow the Creator of life’s instructions for life. We are to trust in the LORD entirely and exclusively, not in our feeble understanding. In everything we do, we are to submit to Him, and He will make our paths straight (morally). Let us not rely on our own moral compass and ethical judgments, for it is the LORD who is the ultimate Judge.

“The New Man” is a seminar that will focus on the spirit of man, its soul and its body.
We will learn the properties of each one of these three parts of man.
Our spirit is called to be the ruling part of us, actually, our spirit is the main part of our being, and is the place where the spirit of God dwells in.
We meet in Room #3 at CTF Toronto Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. I invite you to come and participate with us in this discovery of how to let our spirit become the ruler of our life.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Ambassador of the United Stated to Japan.
• Kichisaburo Nomura, was the Japanese Ambassador to the United States.
• Both ambassadors were well aware of the danger of a coming war and they work
hard to properly represent the interests of their own countries, knowing both, the
weakness and strengths of each nation.
• Both did their best to convince their governments to change policies to avoid war.
7. JOSEPH GREW,
AMERICAN AMBASSADOR TO JAPAN IN 1941
• Pearl Harbor Warning – America’s Ambassador to Japan Raised the Alarm That War Was
Coming. Why Was He Ignored?
• “Neither Roosevelt nor Hull took Grew’s warnings at face value. To them, like most
Americans, it seemed inconceivable that the small island nation of Japan would directly
attack the United States.”
• Grew knew otherwise. He’d spent almost 10 years as America’s envoy to the Empire of the
Rising Sun. The principal cause of the mounting crisis were the economic sanctions the
United States had imposed on Japan in an effort to curb Tokyo’s military aggression in
China. Washington’s trade restrictions were crippling the Japanese economy, and the White
House assumed that they would eventually bring Japan to its knees.

8. KICHISABURŌ NOMURA,
JAPANESE AMBASSADOR TO USA IN 1941
• After World War II, Nomura denied that he knew that the attack would take place.[6]
Nomura and Kurusu had to decode the radioed message personally of Japan's
breaking off the negotiations with the United States, which, given the circumstances,
practically meant war since it had been sent from Japan on Monday, December 8,
and it was received while the embassy's technical support staff were still on their
Sunday holiday. Nomura stated that to be why he had been unable to deliver the
message until after the actual attack had taken place.[7] In his memoirs, Hull
credited Nomura as having been sincere in trying to prevent war between Japan and
the United States.[8]

20. MEDIATOR
• John 8:3-9 BSB The Woman Caught in Adultery
3 The scribes and Pharisees, however, brought to Him a woman caught
in adultery. They made her stand before them 4 and said, “Teacher, this
woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses
commanded us to stone such a woman. So what do You say?” 6 They
said this to test Him, in order to have a basis for accusing Him. But Jesus
bent down and began to write on the ground with His finger. 7 When
they continued to question Him, He straightened up and said to them,
“Let him who is without sin among you be the first to cast a stone at
her.” 8 And again He bent down and wrote on the ground. 9 When they
heard this, they began to go away one by one, beginning with the older
ones, until only Jesus was left, with the woman standing there.

with her hair. 45 You did not greet Me with a kiss, but she has not
stopped kissing My feet since I arrived. 46 You did not anoint My head
with oil, but she has anointed My feet with perfume. 47 Therefore I tell
you, because her many sins have been forgiven, she has loved much. But
he who has been forgiven little loves little.”
• 48Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” 49But those at the table
began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” 50And
Jesus told the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
CULTURALLY AWARE
23. EXPERT
Matthew 22:41-46 BSB
41While the Pharisees were assembled,
Jesus questioned them: 42“What do you
think about the Christ? Whose son is He?”
“David’s,” they answered.
43Jesus said to them, “How then does
David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord’? For he
says:
44‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My
right hand until I put Your enemies under
Your feet.”
45 So if David calls Him ‘Lord,’ how can He
be David’s son?”
46No one was able to answer a word, and
from that day on no one dared to question
Him any further.
