The National Honor Society aims to recognize scholarship while developing leadership, service, and character in high school students. Members must maintain a 3.7 GPA and participate in community service and tutoring activities. Officers are elected to organize meetings and activities, but can be impeached for missing too many events or cheating. Membership requires dues, attendance at meetings, and adherence to conduct standards.

2. The purpose of the National Honor Society is to allow intellectually inclined and hard working students to be an influential light to others at their school.
3. This club exists in order to enhance the student’s abilities in demonstrating leadership, scholarship, service and good character.
4. Our goals are to begin a tutoring service at Hialeah Gardens Senior High School to assist students in their reading comprehension skills once a week. We are also going to begin an enriching tutoring session at Hialeah Gardens Middle school to teach younger students the importance of studying, working hard, and helping with their reading comprehension and mathematics skills.
17. The membership dues are collected before the National Honor Society Induction.
18. If a student is suffering financial hardship, they must see the sponsor of the club and the decision will be based on the financial needs of the student.
20. The President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian are the only members that are to be considered the members of the executive board.
21. President: The President’s responsibility is to conduct every national honor society meeting with the assistance of the vice-president, come up with an agenda for every meeting, discuss activities for the club, etc.
22. Vice- President: The Vice-President’s responsibility is to assist the President with whatever they may need and take charge in the President’s absence.
23. Secretary: The Secretary’s responsibility is to be in charge of the clubs attendance, minutes, and to inform students of when there is a meeting.
24. Treasurer: The Treasurer’s responsibility is to collect the club dues and keep the balance of the club updated.
25. Historian: The Historian’s responsibility is to keep the members informed of any meetings or activities via facebook or blog.
26. Any member of the club can be nominated in order to run for a leadership position in the club.
27. All members must be present on the day of elections to cast their vote.
28. The nominees will be informed a week in advanced that they are running for office.
30. If any officer misses 5 officer/club meetings (excused/unexcused) they are dismissed from the club.
31. If any officer is caught cheating and it is reported, they will be immediately expelled from the club.
32. If an officer does not perform his/her responsibilities when assigned to them they will be monitored and then dismissed from the club.
33. If an officer is to be impeached, they must be notified at least a week in advance in order to try to redeem them self.
34. If an officer is to be impeached for any other logical reason, the members must create a petition and it is to be signed by at least 50% of the members in the club. If the petition is signed by half of the club, a vote will then be held by the executive board and then with the entire club in order for the officer to be impeached.
47. All constitutions and amendments must be first approved by the sponsor, second the general memberships, and third by the Student Activities Director.
48. Copies of the constitution must be kept on file in the Student Activities Office.
49. All amendments must be added to the copy filed in the Student Activities Office.
