NFC near-field communication technology is evolved from the integration of contactless radio frequency identification (RFID) and interoperability technologies. It combines inductive readers, inductive cards and point-to-point functions on a single chip to be compatible in short distances. The device performs identification and data exchange. The working frequency is 13.56MHz. However, users who use this mobile payment solution must replace the special mobile phone. This technology is currently widely used in Japan and South Korea. Mobile phone users can travel all over the country with their mobile phone with payment function: their mobile phone can be used as airport check-in verification, building access key, traffic card, credit card, payment card and so on.

NFC near-field communication technology is evolved from the integration of contactless radio
frequency identification (RFID) and interoperability technologies. It combines inductive readers,
inductive cards and point-to-point functions on a single chip to be compatible in short distances.
The device performs identification and data exchange. The working frequency is 13.56MHz.
However, users who use this mobile payment solution must replace the special mobile phone.
This technology is currently widely used in Japan and South Korea. Mobile phone users can travel
all over the country with their mobile phone with payment function: their mobile phone can be
used as airport check-in verification, building access key, traffic card, credit card, payment card
and so on.
As the number of NFC phones increases, NFC tags are becoming a common way to use this
emerging technology. With NFC-enabled phones, you can create a variety of usage scenarios with
NFC tags.
At home
Stick the NFC tag to the door and set it up to do things like turn on Wi-Fi, dim the light, turn off
Bluetooth, or sync automatically. With the NFC Task Launch app, you can set the tag as a switch,
so you can change the settings by touching the tag again when you leave the house (such as
turning off Wi-Fi).
When driving
Place the NFC tag near the dashboard or the middle control panel and set it to turn off Wi-Fi, turn

up the volume, or turn on Bluetooth (phone). If your phone is connected to a speaker in your car,
you can set up a tag to open an app like Pandora.
prepare to work
Attach the NFC tag to the surface of the table and set it to dim the light, turn off the sound, turn
on Wi-Fi, or auto-sync. Depending on your preferences, you can also set it up to access music
apps, open daily things, and even log in to Foursquare. If you set the tag to a switch, you can
touch it again to turn off the previous activity when you leave.
Bedside table
You can also attach the label to the nightstand and set it to turn off the sound, turn on the alarm,
turn off automatic sync, turn off the light reminder, and turn down the light.
Unused usage and unique ideas
Connect Wi-Fi
If you want your home (or office) to use Wi-Fi without giving them a password, you might use
InstaWifi. This free Android app lets you set up NFC tags so that your phone or mobile device can
connect to Wi-Fi by touching an NFC device.
Automatically turn on the timer
Have you tried opening the washing machine and forgetting it when you left? Put a label next to
the washing machine or dryer to start the timer.
Quickly open specific Evernote notes
Touchanote is a free app that won awards in the note software developer competition. Use it to
set up tags to connect directly to specific notes. Their demonstrations include setting up a label
to open a to-do item or opening a label attached to the product to open the product manual.
NFC key chain
Attach an NFC tag to an existing keychain, or customize an NFC keychain online and set it up to do
what you often do, either by turning the phone into a hotspot mode or by opening a favorite
song.
Possible future use
NFC solutions can make our lives more convenient, so they will be more widely used in the future.
Here are a few examples:
Open the door
Surprisingly, this technology already exists, but it has not been widely used. Some companies
have developed an easy-to-install system that you can open with a swipe on the door handle. If
you have family or friends who want to enter the door, you can also open the door for them from
afar.
Bluetooth match
Soon we can see the emergence of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi speakers with built-in NFC. With them,
mobile phones or mobile devices can be matched by touch and speakers. This program has
gradually emerged, such as Google's music delivery device Nexus Q has NFC.
Safer online shopping
One of the most eye-catching uses of NFC is to make online shopping safer. For example, connect
a small NFC device to a laptop. The user must swipe the NFC credit card on the connected device
before making a purchase. Unlike the past, the user does not need to enter a personal password

but instead draws a gesture on the credit card (or mobile phone) before completing the
purchase.
Traveling with NFC
Last year, Scandinavian Airlines introduced a popular procedure called a smart passport, which
sent regular NFC tags to regular customers. These tags are attached to the back of the phone,
which not only replaces the boarding passport but also allows these customers to make priority
checks or even enter the VIP lounge.
In the future, when more customers have NFC phones, airports, event centers, stadiums, cinemas
and more will invest in this facility, allowing customers to replace paper tickets with NFC phones.
