This document provides an overview of next|navigator, an online tool that helps educators align instruction to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). It allows users to search for CCSS, compare them to state standards, find sample next generation assessments, and create original assessments. The tool provides resources to help determine if students have mastered the CCSS. It is used by instructional leaders and teachers to plan instruction and evaluate gaps between the CCSS and state standards. Subscribing districts benefit from features that enhance professional learning communities and coaching.
This document outlines an Agile planning and estimating workshop presented by Joshua Partogi. The workshop covers Scrum concepts like timeboxing, product backlog creation and ordering, estimating work in story points, sprint planning, and monitoring progress via burn down charts and velocity. Participants work through exercises to practice these techniques in planning and estimating the work for a mobile tourism app project over multiple sprints and releases.
The document discusses an experiment on photosynthesis. Students observed the rate of oxygen bubble production during photosynthesis under different conditions. They varied the light bulb size, distance between the bulb and plant, and measured oxygen bubbles produced per time and per minute. Photosystem 2 uses carbon dioxide and water to begin energy production, driven by sunlight and chlorophyll. The class will continue the lab next week to examine the second step of photosynthesis.
This document outlines a high school physics unit on rotations and oscillations that covers circular motion, pendulums, and spring-mass oscillators. The unit explores key concepts for each topic such as period, frequency, amplitude, energy, and free-body diagrams or graphs.

There are three types of plate boundaries: divergent boundaries where plates move apart, convergent boundaries where plates push together as they move towards each other, and transform boundaries where plates slide past one another in a sideways motion. Plates can move in different ways depending on the type of boundary, with divergent boundaries creating new crust as the plates spread apart, convergent boundaries resulting in one plate moving under the other in a process called subduction, and transform boundaries causing the plates to rub horizontally alongside one another.

The document discusses revising a school's assessment plan to better meet student needs, measure teacher effectiveness, and overcome personal obstacles with dyslexia. It describes the old assessment plan, which included formative and summative assessments but data was not consistently analyzed. New York required schools to choose an assessment option to evaluate teachers. The school chose a variance plan to create their own writing assessments aligned to standards and scored using a rubric, to be given twice per year. The new plan required developing assessments, capturing and analyzing data, and using it to drive instruction and goal-setting.

Data analysis – using computers for presentationNoonapau
The document discusses using computer software for data analysis. It provides examples of different types of software including word processors, code-and-retrieve programs, and conceptual network builders. It emphasizes that the researcher should choose software based on their methodology and the type and amount of data, rather than which software is considered "best." The document also summarizes several research articles that used different software programs like MS Word, NVivo, and Qualrus to analyze qualitative data.
The document discusses vertical collaborative teams in ISD 191. Group X analyzed data using computer software. They discussed several types of software for analyzing qualitative data, including those for coding text, developing theories, and building conceptual networks. The functions to look for include coding, memoing, searching, and displaying data. There is no single best software; the researcher must consider their data, approach, and needs. The document provided examples of research articles that used different software like MS Word, NVivo, and Qualrus to analyze qualitative data.
This document discusses using fieldwork performance evaluations (FWPE) to assess curricular outcomes in occupational therapy programs. FWPE can be used to evaluate student performance in different settings, populations, and practice areas. It can also be correlated with admission criteria, grade point averages, NBCOT pass rates, and job placements. However, current FWPE tools are labor intensive and lack reliability and validity. Standardizing FWPE in a digital format with a national database would allow programs to compare student performance and identify areas for improvement. This could help ensure new therapists meet expectations for entry-level generalist practice. Further research is needed to optimize FWPE and fully realize its benefits for evaluating and enhancing occupational therapy education.
This document provides guidance on designing assessments and rubrics aligned to learning outcomes. It discusses criteria for high quality common assessments and effective scoring guides. It also outlines steps to take in collaborative planning sessions to create assessments and matched learning tasks. Sample assessment questions, a scoring guide example, and key elements of effective scoring are also included.
1. The document discusses transitioning to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), including what is already known about CCSS, why they were created, and how they impact classrooms.
2. CCSS are intended to create greater consistency in student performance and expectations among states and prepare students for college and careers.
3. A major focus is on developing literacy skills across all content areas and using increasingly complex texts. Factors like qualitative measures, quantitative dimensions, and reader considerations determine the complexity of texts.
4. The presentation models how to examine CCSS and assess alignment with curriculum through close reading of standards and group analysis activities. Strategies to support literacy
Differentiation is a proactive decision-making process that considers critical student learning differences and the curriculum. Teachers use formative assessment data, research-based strategies, and a positive learning environment to make differentiation decisions. This may involve modifying aspects of the curriculum like content, process, product, or the learning environment. Common differentiation strategies include tiering instruction, choice/alternatives, and flexible grouping.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
