This document discusses organic agriculture in India. It notes that globally organic agriculture makes up 1.6% of agricultural area, with Australia leading at 10 million hectares. In India, official estimates range from 37,000-41,000 hectares to 2.5 million hectares including forest areas. The document outlines issues around organic standards, inspection, certification, and input availability in India. It provides statistics on certified agencies, exported organic products, and future export demand for Indian organic goods.

Air pollution negatively impacts health, biking more can help reduce emissions. Choosing to bike instead of driving for some trips lowers air pollution and benefits both health and environment. Making biking a regular option for transportation where possible cuts down on pollutants and improves individual and community wellness.

The document outlines the code flow for events in a Blackbook application. It describes the controllers, models, and views involved in managing events. The controllers handle functions like listing, adding, editing, and deleting events and polls. The models retrieve and manage event, poll, and category data. The views display listing and detail pages for admins and users to view and manage events.
The United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization set a goal in 1996 to halve the number of hungry people in the world by 2015. There are currently 842 million hungry people globally, with the majority living in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. Agriculture is the backbone of the economy for 75% of hungry populations. Providing farmers with access to training, markets, fertilizer, and improved seeds would be more effective and cheaper than sending food aid. While some food aid will still be needed for disasters, wars, and droughts, supporting agriculture can help communities produce their own food to feed themselves and sell surplus.
The document outlines 8 types of waste that should be eliminated: motion, waiting, transportation, overprocessing, overproduction, defects, unused inventory, and unused human capacity. It provides examples of each type of waste and encourages not accepting, making, or passing on waste. The overall message is to identify and reduce non-value added activities in order to improve efficiency.

South Florida Workforce and South Florida Commuter Services presented transportation solutions for large employers. They discussed how providing commuter benefits through subsidies, vanpools, and public transportation can help reduce costs associated with employee turnover while providing tax-free benefits. Case studies showed how employers were able to create additional parking, increase productivity, and improve recruitment and retention by participating in these programs.

SOAR PARTY
By Aikin
On October 25, 2007 SOAR will be having its annual
International Pot Luck party. There will be staff and par-
ticipants who will be dressing in costumes. There will be
lots of good food like last year we had Chinese food,
which was really good. There will also be good music
and a lot of dancing and people taking pictures of every-
one. Downstairs the hallway will be dark and will be
decorated. It is going to be really scary, although last
year I was not scared at all. I just want to say that it was
a lot of fun.

ZOMBIE WOODS TERROR F

and play. At night the living dead come out to terrorize and feed on
anyone who enters or stays in the woods. Chad and a couple of his
friends Jay, Kelly, Mike and Kerri were going to go to Zombie woods HAUNTED

and stay over night. They asked him why, and he told them about

THE GHOSTS TERROR F
By Dzidra
!
Once there was a strange couple who lived in an old house. The
house was said to be haunted! Four people went in the house and
were never seen again. People say the ghosts took them. They saw
dripping slime and heads floating around and skeletons. Anyway,
new people have inherited the house. They were relatives of the
ghosts. One night on Halloween they got all the candy and other
stuff out. They told the trick-or-treaters the grapes were eyeballs.
They had candy vampire teeth and juice disguised as blood. They
left the stuff out for the kids. If they took too much of the candy the
kids would disappear. No one knows what happens to them. The
owners of the house were inside having a party with their ghostly
relatives. Every year after Halloween the house would be deserted. It
was as if no one lived in the house. No one dared to buy the house if
they put it on the market. BOO!
