Keeping Body Active
Scientists in Leeds, England are researching ways to keep the human body active past age 50 through improved joint replacements and transplantable tissues. They have developed a new hip replacement that is expected to last 50 years, using a cobalt and ceramic system. Scientists are also working on transplantable tissues that can be implanted and grown by the body, and have already created a transplantable heart valve through this process. Initial animal and human trials of 40 patients for these tissues showed favorable results. However, developing each customized transplantable tissue product can take 30-50 years.

Costumes will be dark colors like black, dark jeans and leather jackets to stand out against the night backdrop. The visual style will portray a dark, gloomy night contrasting the bright song, making it look bizarre. No actors will be included to avoid overcrowding and better execute her vision.

The student created a final drawing of a potion using Photoshop. They first hand drew the potion and then scanned it into Photoshop to color and add details digitally. It was difficult to control the pen at first but got easier with practice. The student used various colors like light blue, dark brown, and different shades of pink to create realistic effects like bubbles and shading. They used tools like the blur tool and size-adjustable brushes. In the end, the student felt they successfully created a realistic looking digital image meeting the goals of the project.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. Date and Time - The date and time is given to give the reader the awareness on when the news was posted and when the situation or event may have occurred.
- 3. Pictures – Photos and images are used in articles to give the reader a visual idea of the scenario and helps them understand the situation more. Location Links – website articles may give links to the locations that the situation took place so that the reader knows where the situation has occurred.
- 4. Social Sharing - On many website articles there will be links to share the stories on social networking site. This is because more people can be aware of the latest news and so readers can share the interesting things they read with others Headline – The headline is to sum up the article and give the reader an idea or a thought of what the article is about or based around. This is important because the reader will be aware of what they are reading instead of reading something that they will not have interest in at the end.
- 5. Hyperlinks – hyperlinks are used to navigate people to different sites or to a certain page so the person can quickly and easily find what they are looking for. Very short paragraphs – The way a newspaper is structured is with short paragraphs. This is for better organization and so the piece of text is broken down and more understandable to the reader.
- 6. Bigger spaces between paragraphs – There is a significant amount of space between each paragraph. This is so the reader finds it easier to navigate between sections. No columns – There are no columns on an online newspaper article. This is because online, it is harder and takes more time scrolling up and down constantly therefore the structure is relatively different.
- 7. Comments section - this is a very convenient section where people can be interact with others and share opinions and thoughts that they may have. Videos – there are many videos that are displayed on websites. This is helpful because it gives them a visual experience on the situation and also it helps the understanding of the situation much quicker.
