Global Gourmet has Functional Structure, which means that the
organization is divided into smaller groups based on specialized
functional areas, which include Finance, Information Technology,
Marketing, Human Resource, New Product Development,
Operations.
Functional Organizational Structure mainly includes the first being
the Chief Executing Officer following comes the Vice President and
General Manager who create the base of an organization, all the

From the above organizational structure we understand that Global
Gourmet is a highly organized and a systematic company as every
department has a Manager, then comes the assistant manager and
then the Staff Members.
According to the Scalar Chain if staff members want to report
anything to the CEO they have to follow the chain and then only they
can report.

There are 200+ employees working in the company and their orderly
management is highly important for the smooth functioning of the
organization.
Global Gourmet believes in 2 very strong practices that are Good
Production Practice(GPP) and Good Hygiene Practice(GHP) as a
result top food exporters across globe consider Global Gourmet’s
products to be the best in class and quality.
Unlike every organization Global Gourmet has successfully able to
create a successful market share in many different countries from its
famous products and the CEO and Managing Director of the
company Mr.Satvik Agrawal also states that the company has a great
future ahead in Export as well as Indian markets as a country like
India is about to start consuming Frozen Food’s.
The company aims to double its production and sales by the coming
3-4 years, resulting into greater market demand for their products
and higher market share which will enable them to be more
competitive with the new companies in the market.

Human Resource manager of the company and they come into
picture when they are authorized and authenticated by the CEO of
the company.

Finance Department:
a) Ensure that the Raw Materials that have been priced by the
Supplier are proper so that it is easy to carry on with the
manufacturing of the product.
b) Track of each and every shipment that is being delivered to its
customers and ensure timely payments are being made to
Suppliers and timely payments are being received by the
Customers or not.
c) calculate the product cost and also generate the Bills of Shipment
with the Dispatch(Finished Goods) Department
IT Department:
a) maintaining the servers provide internet data for all staff
members, basic repairs and maintenance of all the Computer
Hardware and Software’s.
b) indulge in creating designs, templates and Media Graphic’s for the
Marketing department for the display of the products.
Marketing Department:
a) meeting new clients and dealers every time and ensures the
timely delivery of the right product to the right customer at the
right time.
b) helps its customer in creating the best product of their choice
according to consumer taste and preference.
Operations Department:
a) Ensure timely production of products that are being
manufactured
b) Make sure that products are prepared with good taste and proper
consistency

Recruitment Process
Global Gourmet uses Internal Source of Recruitment as a process to
hire employees and managers.
People hired in the company have been called either by the
references of other employees or managers in the company or if
anyone has uploaded their resume on the website of the company.
According to Global Gourmet Internal Source of recruitment is only
preferred as it’s a small enterprise with only 200+ employees so
employees are hired according to the prevailing experience the
company desires them to have in their field.
Global Gourmet considers these factors while hiring employees:
a) Good High School Qualification
b) Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in food industry
c) Good Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of employees
d) Potential in giving good performance
e) Employees with good morale

Selection Process
Global Gourmet follows a very basic selection process in hiring the
employees for their jobs.
When the Resumes of employees are received by the Human
Resource department the Human Resource manager calls employees
to come up and appear for interview.
Through the process of interview the Human Resource manager
comes to know about the Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of the
employee.
Once the interview is over employees have to appear for a small test
which judges their capabilities and smartness in the field of the work
they are performing.
Recently three months back Global Gourmet hired a member in the
operations department to take charge of the Stock keeping and
updating and the employee was tested on the basis of the skills
which he had and was also asked suggestions as to what will he do if
he is appointed as the store manager and what new Systematic
Operating Procedure(SOP) can he adopt if he is in charge of the
department.
Once the interview and the test is over the Human Resource
department takes time to analyze the potential of the candidate and
visualize whether he/she is fit for the job or not.
If the person is fit then he/she is hired and a Job Offer letter is
prepared by the company which states the employees basic duties
and responsibilities.
The Employees then go under a process of Induction where in they
are met with the departmental heads and their colleges who will be
assisting and working with them during their jobs.

Training & Development
Once the employees are hired and once the induction process is
completed employees are given basic job training and are taught
them how the task needs to executed and performed.
If a employee is hired In the Finance Department then he is given
training as to:
a) how to generate bills from the billing software
b) how to enter data in the system
c) how to coordinate with their respective departments
d) how to check payment information and credit cycle of clients
e) making payments to vendors
f) Availability of finances in the company
g) Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual finance reports of the
company.
h) Advising top level management about better financial measures
to be taken to improve company’s performance
It is the Human Resource Management departments tasks to check
whether the employee has achieved proper training or not and is he
capable enough to perform is task individually and independently.
Managers at Global Gourmet believe that employees should be
regularly trained and taught about the various practices new
practices and procedures adopted by the company this way every
employee has a clear picture about the organizations goals and
tasks.
Global Gourmet believes that training employees not only increases
their productivity but also enhances their Knowledge, Skill and ability
and create a culture of competency and growth and this way
organization can achieve success.

Conclusion
From the above Case Study I conclude that Global Gourmet is a
highly organized and a systematic company as every department has
its independent way of performing and its employees are trained to
tackle difficult and most challenging scenarios.
Apart from all other companies Global Gourmet has New Product
Development Department which is a very unique department only a
few companies have as a result it is the most INNOVATIVE Company
in the market as of now resulting into great products for its
customers.
There are over 350+ products and 5+ brands being manufactured by
Global Gourmet as a result of which it has different products from
different Indian cuisines.
Global Gourmet aims to keep growing its business from 15 countries
to 50 countries in the coming 4-5 years and aims to triple its sales in
the market by following good organizational practice.
