A girl named Belinda was playing in the forest on a snowy winter day with some dwarves. They heard a long howl that one of the dwarves identified as a hungry wolf. The next day, Belinda felt sorry for the wolf and left a basket of food outside while the dwarves weren't looking. The following day, while out for a walk in the snow, Belinda came upon a white lamb. When she asked if it would come with her, it turned out to be the wolf in disguise who jumped on her. However, it was actually Belinda's evil stepmother in disguise who escaped, screaming in pain. Belinda was saved and realized she had gained a new friend.

Shadow forest

The next morning, they discover the forest is beautiful in the daylight and no longer frightening. With the kind witch now gone, Tommy and Roco hurry home, glad to have escaped the perils of Shadow Forest.

Mark noticed a boy named Bill had dropped his books and helped him pick them up. They became friends and Mark discovered Bill was struggling in school and had broken up with his girlfriend. Years later, Bill told Mark that the day they met, he had planned to commit suicide but spending time with Mark made him realize he wanted to live. Mark's small act of kindness had saved Bill's life.
A lonely girl rescued two songbirds and kept them caged. When she let one fly free, she grabbed it tightly and killed it. When the other bird wanted to fly, she let it go and it returned to sing for her, showing the importance of letting love be free instead of clinging too tightly.

However, Little Red Riding Hood stops to pick flowers and loses track of time. She meets a wolf who asks where she is going and then hurries to her grandmother's house. The wolf arrives first and eats the grandmother. He waits in her bed for Little Red Riding Hood, but a woodsman hears her cries for help and rescues them.
