Dear Students,
Cambridge has released a notification regarding collecting a portfolio of evidence for CAIE May/ June 2022
series. The portfolio of evidence is a contingency approach for CAIE May/June 2022 grading for situations
where directives from national or local authorities mean formal CAIE exams cannot take place for Cambridge
IGCSE and International AS & A Level.
In summary:
• Centers select a portfolio of evidence for each candidate in each syllabus. For IGCSE , AS & A level
portfolios are made up of three substantial pieces of evidence completed at any time during the course of
study
• Centers will not be required to mark or grade the portfolio of evidence
• Centers submit the portfolio digitally to Cambridge through online Submit for Assessment portal
• Cambridge examiners mark the work submitted by the center
• Cambridge will use their examiners’ marks to calculate a final grade for each candidate for each syllabus
they are entered for.
Linear A Level:
For candidates taking a linear route to an A Level grade, there will be two portfolios of evidence – one for the
AS part of the qualification and one for the A2 part of the qualification. For these candidates, therefore, six
substantial pieces of work will be required in total:
• three for the AS part of the qualification,
• and three for the A2 part of the qualification.
Types of evidence:
The types of evidence to be included among the three pieces of as evidence are at the center’s discretion. The
types of work can include one or more of any of the following:
• complete past papers from the syllabus with a duration of an hour or more
• completed coursework prepared according to syllabus requirements
• work made up of questions selected from various past papers
Multiple-choice past question papers cannot be used as evidence.
The tests/assignments will take place during class. Regular timetable will be followed. Please note,
following is the schedule to be followed for the next three weeks:

1- Thursday, Feb 3, 2022. Computer Science/ Biology/ Law
2- Friday, Feb 4, 2022. Mathematics/ Sociology
3- Monday, Feb 7, 2022. Business/ Chemistry/ Urdu
4- Tuesday, Feb 8, 2022. Accounting/ Physics/ History
5- Wednesday. Feb 9, 2022 Economics/ Psychology
Week 2
1- Monday, Feb 14, 2022. Computer Science/ Biology/ Law
2- Tuesday, Feb 15, 2022. Mathematics/ Sociology
3- Wednesday, Feb 16, 2022. Business/ Chemistry/ Urdu
4- Thursday, Feb 17, 2022. Accounting/ Physics/ History
5- Friday. Feb 18, 2022 Economics/ Psychology
Week 3
